Re: The opposite running costs thread

The biggest cost for me was easily fuel. I spent £5k a year on the stuff and I averaged throughout ownership about 22 mpg as I drove it sooooo softly. The running costs (as opposed to fixing costs) were the biggest reason for moving it on.

Re: Wing mirrors....

I thought they were fixed on the inside of the door. They must have well and truly ripped them off. Very sorry to hear this.

Re: And its good night from me......

Sorry you are quite right. You know I had completely forgotten about that. It happened only twice on damp surfaces coming out of a bend on a gradient so put it down traction but thanks for reminding me! The car did not have big bills looming but because we have a baby and my wife does not want to go...

And its good night from me......

Well my car has sold, fairly quickly in fact but I think mileage and condition helped. A lot of former owners come on and critisise the cars or say what they now have is so much better. Well as i now have a Rover 75 as a temporary car I don't think I can argue the latter. I think constructive commen...

Re: RS6 for sale

£1000 a time. Funny you should say that Dave. In 1992 everytime my Dad's Audi 200 Quattro had a problem it was a £1000 then so at least the increase in fix price has kept below inflation!!! Powerful Audis - inflation beating investments???

Re: 2003 RS6 avant (under warranty)

Rather than respond individually some further answers to questions: 1. The brakes should be good for another 12 months. There is a spare new drilled disc which will reduce the price considerably of replacement and I used pagid pads which were fine. 2. I have never smoked in the car and I think it ha...
