Re: Recall

I've still got my recall to follow up as the car has been SORN'd for the past year but back on the road now. My local dealer is Cheshire Oaks, anybody had theirs done there and what were they like? I was reluctant to take it to main dealer for anything, more concerned now as they're 'old' cars and m...

How about a vinyl wrap, could even use the clear stuff they use to protect paintwork ?

Re: Jack for RS4, alloy or steel?

I bought one a long while back from the main dealer. was not too bad about £25 IIRC.

I think it was a stock A4 jack (was discussed on here ?), but I have never tried it ! LOL

Re: Many DIYers on board?

Yes do all my own stunts (car maintenance :P ), always have. When I got the RS, as it was a long term purchase, I decided that going to Audi to get a stamp in the book was not 'good value' IMO, especially when you hear some horror stories, wasn't for me ! If I did have to sell it, my argument is a s...

Re: Are these discs oem?

TRW are one of those companies that make OEM stuff for VW/audi.

I don't think the discs have any VW/Audi markings on them, certainly not on the front, but not had mine off to look behind.

Mine have worn the same as yours, just running them till pads wear out and replace both

Re: Adaptive lights

you cannot just turn screws to adjust headlights, you need to have VCDS (vagcom) to put the lights in set mode, if you don't the headlights will just keep self adjusting to the preset 'level'.

if could be a faulty level sensor

I have a rattle, found it eventually, was only when I had a passenger....

...was the seat belt stalk bit on seat, where the buckle goes into. still not fixed it tho.

Does it on my A6 daily also !!
