Gauging interest 03 rs6
Hi, I want to sell my Blue 03 Audi RS6 Avant, cream leather, with 107.2k miles. The car works very well but changes in circumstances mean that I should trade down for something more economical. No pictures as its dirty and its been raining for the last few days. DRC was rebuilt by Audi Camberley 6 y...

Re: ABS and ESP lights on
On a similar sensor, I used a wood chisel to tap in between the sensor and the carrier. Going all around it. Soak it in gasgas before hand.

Re: ABS and ESP lights on
Don't forget that labour is about 6 hours from memory, so its not so simple and will be costly to remove it again if it doesn't work under warranty. I doubt the latter would cover removal....

Re: ABS and ESP lights on
There indeed seem to be a spate of those things going around at the moment. The way AMD found the fault after checking the wheel speed sensors was to follow the loom and they noticed that the fault would come on when moving the loom close to the abs unit. Old fashioned technique. Unfortunately, the ...

Re: Climate Control BREXIT
Happened to me too after a service. Probably something to do with disconnecting the battery or some such.
I cannot remember how to switch it back, but there must be a post about it on here. Or google.

Re: ABS Pump Control Unit
The fault on mine was some of the very fine wires in the control unit had broken. Not repairable.

Re: ABS & Traction control light stayed on.
As I said before, the speed sensor on mine was probably fine so when it was replaced so it made no difference. You really need to follow the wiring loom to the ABS pump/ECU and see whether it makes a difference when you twist it about. That's how AMD found the fault on mine although it was still ind...

You mean you sent the ABS module for repairs, it was repaired and you fitted it back, but you still have problems?

Re: Rear callipers.
I had the same problem recently. Had it sent off to http://www.brakecaliperspecialists.uk/ for their express unseize service.
Not as express as I hoped (about a week) but cheap enough for a rear caliper.

That and labour, a bill not far off £2500....R5XVB wrote:monoi wrote:A new ecu module/pump is £1600 IIRC.
I cannot say I was overly pleased.

Re: ABS & Traction control light stayed on.
The sensor itself is almost £200... Test the wiring to the abs module, as I had exactly the same symptoms and I would have saved myself £300 odd for not replacing a probably working sensor. As luck would have it, the gaiter on that side had split so there was grease all over which we thought would h...

Re: ABS & Traction control light stayed on.
Had the same problem recently. Fault indicated was the left front wheel sensor, so got that changed (quite expensive), but the problem came back so the car went to AMD who diagnosed a faulty ABS module by following the wiring harness and noticed that the lights were coming on and off when twisting i...

I wish I had known about this outfit....unit not repairable, exchange unit will take a week at least and not much less than new from Audi...took 8 working days to get there.
