Re: Secondary Air Pump - Faulty? VCDS test method...

Confirmed running under VCDS. - Vacuum leak check performed and tight. - VCDS of solenoid to actuate the SAI bank valves, confirmed working an...

Re: Rear coil springs
Purchased a set direct from Audi last year no problem.
The rear springs tend to break at the tips and the car drops an inch or so.

Re: Rear Brake discs
Have a new set ready to fit, ill look up what i paid.
Good news is, still on original set at 69k miles. Had them skimmed once mid life, just gone below min thickness. So although they arent cheap, i cant complain at 1 set sinve 2006 !

Re: Secondary Air Pump - Faulty? VCDS test method...
So update, i ran the output tests again and no apparent problems, pump runs and valves actuate ok, no sign of a leak issue. Decided to run the readiness test in VCDS and both sides passed..... As the codes are both sides, i am thinking intermittent fault. Relay, solenoid valve, etc? SAI Readiness.JPG

Re: Secondary Air Pump - Faulty? VCDS test method...
Replaced the pump, see my other thread on my rebuild, carbon clean etc. The pump was dead, replaced with new one, working fine now. However...... same two codes are coming back up. So, coincidently there must be more than one fault with the system. Engine light came on again today. I've noticed the ...

Re: Fuel Trims, MAF, VCDS, Data-logging, CSE Mathematics + Reading GRAPHS!
Congrats getting it back on the road. I’m up for some data logging. Did lots when I first got the car 2010 ish. After my carbon clean, injectors etc, I noticed the partial offset change over a few days of driving, will check mine again tomorrow. Look forward to a MAF log, not done one since the rebu...

Re: Dynamic steering
Interesting, the solenoids can fail and it becomes a basic rack in that scenario, if you cant feel any difference at low (pulling off) speeds, i would look into it, it is noticeable and i have always enjoyed it in car parks etc, you feel it weight up as you move off.

Re: Dynamic steering
Normal. Its servotronic steering on our cars. I like it, its noticable - the extra assist at low speeds then reduces to improve feedback when driving.

Thanks.
Yes just that door. Will pull the amp out to check for any signs of moisture as well. Then door card off and start to investigate....
