Re: ANOTHER AUDI SPORT SHOWCASE EVENT!
I didn't bother going as they didn't get back to me about driving any cars. :audibash: The Audi reps I spoke to said that places/slots filled-up very quickly, so much so they had to pull in additional cars to reduce the waiting. My mate who has a S5 V8 booked a Rs5 test drive which he was keen to s...

Re: So what does everyone think of this as a potential new c
Christ thats saying something if he bought an E63 AMG for economy! :drink: I think it was a later 5.5 turbo rather than the 6.2 NA engine...which is supposed to be a bit better on juice (relative I know) He had already owned 3xM3 (E36,E46,E92) a C63, E55, RR V8 and a Datsun GTR so suspect he was pr...

Re: So what does everyone think of this as a potential new c
when I had my last beemer one of the guys with an M3 I knew off that forum, was lent a M6 whilst his was in for a service. That day he had a couple of hundred miles to drive across some nice roads to visit his customers He did say whilst he drove it enthusiastically it was a bit of a shock to fill i...

Re: S5 - The Best Colour
Audi usually present their S & RS cars to the press in red, so clearly that's the correct colour ...........
...........but its a good job cars (and anything else made) come in different colours and have option choices, otherwise forums would struggle for content

Re: Anyone Michelin Pilot Sport 3 on B7
Full set of Michelin PS3 fitted yesterday, very meaty looking compared to the Pzeros, certainly a lot more err Rim protection even in std 255 size. Not driven out of town as yet, but already feel a lot less susceptible to tram-line on a highly cambered road on the way home. Got them fitted for a gra...

Re: Anyone Michelin Pilot Sport 3 on B7
not much love for the Pirelli's wonder why Audi chose them as the OE fit? Anyway local garage can do a sensible deal on Ps3 so they will be on fairly soon, the current worn PZeros tramline dreadfully and on one particular island half way to work can understeer quite alarmingly at speeds the GTI woul...

Re: Anyone Michelin Pilot Sport 3 on B7
PS3 or SS which I hadn't considered
I'll see what the local tyre place I've used for 20+ years can do, they are usually pretty competitive and take good care
thanks for all the replies, its that sort of accumulative knowledge that makes RS246 a great place

Re: Anyone Michelin Pilot Sport 3 on B7
Thanks for replies i'll certainly forget the Pzeros, but there seems to be 4 different versions is you include the rosso and Direzionale ...the Michelin have good user feedback, but then again Vreds are £50/corner less..and quiet..but suggested rating say low(er) wet grip interesting looking at the ...

Anyone Michelin Pilot Sport 3 on B7
Has anyone used Michelin Pilot Sport 3 on therir RS4 B7? washed the car this morning and the front wheels had some lock on, saw the middle to inside of the tyres was getting to the wear marks on the Pirelli P Zero Rosso currently so reckon a full set of boots is needed before the autumn. I've used M...

Re: Broad speed discount increased
yes they do put you in touch with a UK dealer, mine happened to be 150 miles away... but was easy reachable by 3xtrains for 20 quid (booked in advance), nice drive back thou Suppose the reasoning for that dealer is its a sale towards the quotas, even if the profit is tight ..... and usually there is...

Re: Broad speed discount increased
well worth looking into, my experience was favourable ..but that was 7 years ago When i bought my BMW335D before the coupe had even been released in 2006, The broadspeed published discount in effect bought the leather and upgrade soundpackage. My two local dealers, would not even entertain a single ...
