Finally got to the bottom of it!!
My cooling fan module looked fine but the wiring had rotted internally after years of water damage. Was an utter bitch to get into. The front had to come off for access. Car is going perfectly now.
Heaps of power, heaps of fun!! Well worth the hassle!!

Hi folks! I have noticed that my cooling fan comes on when i start the car and stays on until i turn off the ignition, regardless of weather. Also, i am losing boost occasionally. The dealer fitted a new coolant temp' sensor recently but that aint cured it. I have also fitted new EGT's, an new MAF a...

Apologies for my ignorance, what is the EGT sensor and where is it located?
Is this best done at the dealer or can my mechanic friend cope with this easily?
Any info you can pass on will be appreciated.

I will do a bit of investigation and see what the score is.
If i need a n75 valve then will just get a genuine Audi unit although it breaks my heart going to the stealer!
Is there a tried and tested aftermarket alternative?
Any suggestions?

I will pass this on to my mechanic friend who will make a better job of it than the a**hole at the dealership who says the rear wheels are non-adjustable!!

Anybody know if it's possible to adjust the rear wheel camber on the B5 RS4?
She has a tendancy to wear the inside edge of the rear tyres prematurely.
I would appreciate any input.

My car has had a tracker in the past. Never crossed my mind that it could be that! Smart thinking dude!
I assume it would continue to pull power if connected to the network or not??
Any ideas where a tracker gets it power?

My car also has a minor battery drain. It is off to the paint shop for a respray but when i get her back the only way to pin point the battery drain is to turn off the ignition, go to the fuse box with a multi meter and check every fuse to see which one is still pulling power.
