Thanks, I'll def be giving him/them a call when Florence needs some work.
BTW, I withdraw my statement that said Chingford was ok. They're not. Whenever you call them, their 'computer is down' and when you call again, they tell you to bugger off as 'amy' will call me back, but she never does.

Thanks. That's not too far away; I'll take a look.

Canary Wharf (R8) Dealership closed - where instead?
I used to take my R8 in to the Canary Wharf dealership for looking after, but now they've closed, I need to find another place nearby that does R8 servicing.
I've tried the Chingford one, and that seemed ok.
Anyone else with same dilemma and found a good substitute?

Re: Spoiler stuck
Thanks. I'll have to upload a few pics later. Plans for car? Well, have a lot of fun :) A weekend or two to North Wales, at least one up in the Highlands, a two-week tour around the Alps, Austrian Lakes... and hopefully some track time. I'm a bit of a track newbie (only had some time in a TT V6, S5 ...

Spoiler stuck
Greetings folks! Just had a first long run out with my R8 to visit family and the first thing my brother did when sitting in the car (parked for about an hour) was push the spoiler button. It went up, but didn't come down again. The light on the switch stays on, even after switching off/on ignition....

Re: R8 beter than an rs4 ?
I traded my B7 RS4 for an R8 V8 yesterday, but have only done about 100 miles in the 8. I find the R8 easier to drive at sensible speeds, but less pull in the higher gears, so it encourages you to leave it in 2nd and 3rd for longer. I find it a bit quieter, but the sound is quite different. I like i...

I like the HUD gadget - there's an iPhone app that does that too - might give it a try.
Now a new steering wheel - that might be cool

Re: RE: Digital speedo
Afraid no amount of software updates or VAG-COM enabling will get it for you. I tend to use my Road Angel for speed rather that try to read the dial I suspected as much, but you never know. I use a TomTom (which also handily tells you the speed limit), but I'd rather not have a big bit of plastic s...

Digital speedo
In my old '08 A3, I could bring up a digital speed indicator in the DIS display - this is particular useful when abroad as you can set it to km/h. My '07 RS4 doesn't have this, but wonder if other versions of the s/w do, or if it is something that can be enabled? Dark red km/h lettering on a black b...

RE: Ghost Driver
Apparently there's even a TMC event code for "gunfire on route." Glad I didn't encounter that one

RE: Ghost Driver
I think I was in Belgium at the time, near Brussels and didn't see any other news... It was in the car's voice.
Doing a bit of digging it would seem to be a TMC safety event.
