RE: Flat Battery
The car just had the battery tray recall done about 3 weeks ago, might be that the terminals are not on correctly, seems strange that the battery has shown no signs of failure up to this point then bang, dead as a dodo in one night.

Also forgot to mention that when the car was in they were going to conduct the battery well recall, but apparently the split was so big that the cover plate they rivet on was to small for the split so they had to take pictures of it and send to Audi UK for advise, it may have to go to a body shop an...

For God's sake don't pay for the replacement of the manifold just for the sake of those flaps. Take the car to MRC and see what they suggest. My guess is they'll either replace your flaps for you, or for £2K, clean your manifold, de-flap it and re-install it or for a little bit more, remap it as we...

When the light is on, do you find a rev limiter at 7k rpm instead of 8250? Almost like it is misfiring? If the engine is misfiring the EML will flash. What was the problem with yours PG? Kenny is the car still withing the recommended service schedule, is so, you could ask them to pay 50% good will ...

Spoke to the workshop manager today and he tells me that there is 2 plastic arms that operate flaps inside the manifold and that they get worn, apperently this is quite common??? and they cannot be replaced on there own!!! I can only think that if the flaps are not opening all way it sends a fault c...

Kenny, it could be one and the sams fault code trigger both engine management and EPC. If an EPC is triggered by the same code a set number of times it gets recorded in the ECU and engine management comes on in tandem or instead. When the light is on, do you find a rev limiter at 7k rpm instead of ...

I would also ask for the fault code/s associated with the manifold. When you drove it was the engine mangement light on or the EPC light. I only ask because mine also intermitently comes on and off and it is down to a sensor. That said and pertaining to RS4V8's comment, did they say which senor nee...

I wouldn't be surprised if the fault with the manifold is the flaps as I've heard of others cracking. The manifold it's self is metal as already pointed out so there isn't anything else that could cause the problem. If it is the flaps I don't know if they can be replaced on their own but usual Audi...

Hi Kenny Get photo's and a full explanaition on the manifold before you commit. Go for KW's as an alternative to the DRC'c Braided hose splitting......I'm sure there must be a manufacturer in the tuning industry that can get you a replacement without having to replace the oil cooler. We sell plenty...

Re: RE: Service shocker
Mine (06) just had a recall for oil pipes. Apparently they can rub and wear through so worth getting that confirmed. Most of the inlet manifold is going to be labour - I would look at having this done at a specialist but again, worth confirming the exact fault. IIRC vacumn tubes can cause this. I w...

Thanks for the tips so far guys, I normaly go to my tyres for the tyres so will stick with them and can change the discs and pads easily myself so will save some money on that front. It seems strange that they need to change the complete manifold to cure the issue, the car doesn't run any different ...

Wife put the car in for a service Thursday and picked it up yesterday with a list of issues as long as my arm!!!! I'I start with the most alarming ones My Emmisions light had been on for a few weeks so I knew there was going to be some issues there, they have told me I require a new Inlet manifold a...
