RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Thinking of getting a exhaust

the normal tubi (not rumore version) isn't that loud, i have it myself (newer oval tip version).. it's slightly louder on WOT but under normal driving it's reasonable. i prefer the sound of Tubi, next on the list was GMG, but i wasn't really a fan of the rocket style muffler canisters, a little too ...

Re: RE: Group buy Alcon 370mm monoblok 6-pot

lol you guys don't get out often, eh? Stasis is the biggest Audi performance supplier for suspension and braking components. Having said that, I can't believe their 370mm 'big brake kit' with 6 pistons, is any better than the OEM B7 setup, at 365mm and 8 pistons?? Stasis brake rotors are 10lbs each ...

RE: Alarm questions

mines beep when locked, US model.. i want to figure out how to make it use the horn when the alarms goes off.. that "beeping" is pathetically too low for an alarm.

Re: I thought I wanted an RS4 until I read the posts here...

1. DRC - Sounds like a ticking time bomb. A massive list of people experiencing the problem and no recall ? i have 30k miles on my RS with no problems.. its a hit or miss which cars develop the problem. audi will warranty if you develop problems. 2. Optimistic power figures. I'm sure how Audi got a...

i bought a set of hankook v12 evo in 275/30/19 and they were only $180 each.. car and driver did a test and said they are very good and compared them to many expensive brands.. the Michelins are way over priced.. comparison with other brands: http://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/comparisons/09q2/tire...

i never said you had to drive around at 4k-5000rpm.. for example... typically at 30-40mph on 4 gear my revs are around 2,500-2,700.. that is what i consider to be a sweet spot, and not straining the engine at 1,500 RPM in 6th gear at 20mph.. there are a few good articles on the internet which explai...

^^ its not normal to drive in 6th at 20mph, these people have no clue what they're talking about.. seriously i've been driving the RS for more than 2 years i know where the optimum spot is on the RPM range by now. higher gear does not mean fuel saving plain and simple. search around or take a Audi d...

^ i agree you can drive fine in 6th gear if you're cruising and maintaining speed on a relatively flat road.. you better downshift if you plan on hitting the gas.. letting it creep up slowly by not downshifting will waste more fuel than if you down shifted and revved the engine to bring the engine r...

you guys fail to see that using higher gear at lower speed can strain the motor which means more fuel will be used. switching gears too fast can use more fuel too and it put more wear on the engine and tranny because the motor is straining.. so think again when you're going 30mph in 6th gear.. you a...

RE: Creaks and rattles - dealer response

i complained about some rattles and squeaks coming from the pillar area and dealer say it's normal on this car with stiff suspension. when i first bought the RS it was very quiet inside the cabin.. now i hear some squeaks here and there.. it's tolerable but still, on a $70,000 car you shouldn't be h...

20mph on 6th gear? uhm probably time to take some classes..

you shouldn't be in 6th gear unless you're going over 50mph or on the highway..

10-20mph - 2nd gear
20-30mph - 3rd gear
40-50mph - 4th or 5th gear

^^ the front doesn't look like it was dropped at all. fender gap looks the same as my stock suspension if not higher.. i thought a 20mm drop should be way more noticeable.

thanks for the pics everyone.

any of you guys generous enough to post pics of what the suspension looks like and or pics of your cars? looking to see how much it lowers it (specs say 20mm) but curious to see how it actually looks after it's installed. also, can you explain how much harsher it feels like going over bumps, etc..li...
