Re: Another stake in the heart carbon naysayers

Wow, quite the "stake in the heart"........thank God you're not a vampire slayer. :smile_smoking: Saki, bite the bullet and open up your engine and clean the <beep> out. After 35k miles the crap is in there. Regardless of what impact you think it has on everyday driving/drag racing, the fact remains...

Re: My Sprint Blue B7 RS4 thread

Those seats look great. Like everyone else, I really like the quilted look. On the seatback, are you using real carbon fiber and overlayering it over the base or is that 3M like vinyl. I ended up using the 3M vinyl on my seat backs because of cost and ease but would have loved to do it with the real...

Re: Manual Carbon Clean - UPDATE - Engine's coming out

the bit that as I understand breaks the most is the plastic arms that move the flaps located at the front of the IM. If they were broken they wouldn't move and be locked in the closed position. You can test by looking or with vagcom. Also the engine will throw an EPC light very quickly as soon as y...

Re: The beast and it's overhaul!

Just awesome. I saw your car Danny at MRC when I visited and was impressed. Can't wait to see the makeover. If you are interested in some custom forged Rotiform's send me a PM and I can probably help you out some.

Re: fastest b7 rs4 1/4 mile time????

Awesome. Danny gave me the ride of my life in that thing last week. Just an awesome car. It was easily the fastest RS I've ridden in and I've driven both an APR and VF blown car and ridden in the heavily tuned JHM car. Saif - danny is the customers car - the daytona one. The black one is MRCs devel...

Re: Visiting the UK later this month

With all honesty I am not sure. Right now I have my uncle's DBS but he might need it in the morning meaning I might not head out of London until closer to 11am. Not sure how long it will take but last time up I think I did the trip in a bit over an hour. Unless he can get me into another car (v12 Va...

Re: Visiting the UK later this month

Arrived yesterday to some surprisingly nice weather down here in London. Where's the gloomy grey sky you're famous for? Booked my tickets for Brands Hatch......... And picked up my 'rental' for the next couple weeks. Has paddle-shifter but beggars can't be choosers. Plan to take it up to MRC Wednesd...

Re: Visiting the UK later this month

Woohoo about to board.

Has anyone ever been to Brands Hatch for touring car races or the Porsche Carrera Cup?

About to book some tickets but wanted to confirm from someone that's been if it's worth it. How's the racing, view from grandstand, pit access, etc...?

Re: Visiting the UK later this month

For sure, let me know when you come out. A lot of great car related things to do and see.

Btw, when is everyone planning a Santa Pod visit next?
