Re: Michelin PS3 - tyre wear

It was the tracking - way out on the rear; it was obvious when I looked at it with that in mind. Fronts are absolutely fine

Michelin PS3 - tyre wear

I fitted some PS3s 7k miles ago - and the rear driver's side is (alarmingly) down to the belts - just noticed, so it's very recent. The other side is also very low tread, though the centre of the tyre is about 2-3 mil. The fronts are over 3mil. I fitted 225/45 R17 91Y For previous debate on rating, ...

Re: How many left.....

Almost every weekend recently one identical to mine (apart from aftermarket wheels) parks on the same road as mine is, so all my neighbours in SW London and I think there are loads around, and they're all RS Blue. The interloper is on a private plate with a U in it (if known here) - and was the one ...

Re: Lower door trims - collective action needed!

Getting some good traction on this. If anyone can help out with the pattern parts needed, that would be great

Re: Lower door trims - collective action needed!

By the way, if anyone is interested, would be good if you add your name to interested parties on the S2 forum link above - the more people express an interest, the more likely we are to have a future source of door trims

Lower door trims - collective action needed!

It seems that Audi have now run out of stock of lower door trims, and item that all of us are going to have to replace at some time and several times. Some chap over on the S2 forum is apparently putting together a set of door and other lower body trims to get the tooling or moulds done to make new ...

Re: Tyres

You're right to aim off due to my suspension refresh - and of course that all I previously knew was PS2s in the wrong size. Scillyisles is probably the most qualified of anyone to comment on such things having been through several sets on what is I'm sure a car like mine as Audi and Porsche intended...

Goodwood B'fast Club Nov 6 - 4x4

Has this garnered any interest yet? I know there have been occasional RS2 gatherings at Goodwood Breakfast Club events. Still planning my weekend - have AMG driving day Sat (booh, hiss I know - it was a gift and would be rude not to), so may be pushing it to do 2 car events same weekend. If there's ...

Re: Freshen up suspension

Agree with that. I went through the suspension overhaul options earlier this year, and Lloyd gave some excellent advice and tips (thanks again!). Given the originality of my car, and that I won't be doing trackdays in this car, I stuck with OEM all round - replaced everything I could at the time. I ...

Odd encounter with RS Blue RS2

Saw another RS Blue RS2 up ahead of me on the road on Sunday in Barnes, SW London - reg no. UIW + 3 digits, which seemed familiar (maybe seen an advert for it some time). I was in mine, and we drove tail-to-tail for a mile or so, which was slightly odd - an 'out of car experience', I suppose. It mus...

Re: Went to look at an RS2 today

It probably needs a good look over the service history, with a view to what else may need doing (suspension, brakes etc - the expensive stuff). Still, if ll is well, with that colour, and those miles, that looks like a bargain to me. It's probably the apparent lack of history that pulls the price do...
