Re: just picked up my rs4 missano red
Hi Shaun, it was good to see you yesterday and finally do the deal, although i had some dust in my eye when she rorted off into the sunset :( The RS4 is the best all-round car I've owned and there's a great community here, so will continue to hang around :) I was sure you were going to be disappoint...

Re: Under powered
I know this will attract flak but 100mph one handed on a track is foolish, on a road is dangerous driving. The difference of tenths of a second in everyday driving is indistinguishable, you'd be better investing your time in the other "performance" aspect of the package often overlooked, the driver...

Re: Under powered
hardly although from a roll the delta between an e46 M3 and an RS4 is not as large as you think it would be both starting at 40 and running to 100, maybe a car length Yes i agree, I've done a number of rolling speed tests with a couple of E46 M3's now and my RS4 only just pulls away, more so at the...

Re: Brake Pad Light - "Corroded Loom"
I have this as well, just appeared when changed the discs and pads recently, normally when it's wet too. They do fail under an open circuit, so not sure how the corroded loom idea works? Originally I thought it was the pads, so i used the plugs from the old pads with wires crossed together, but i st...

Re: Carbon clean
I have a word document that also includes the tools required when i did mine last year, would need an email to send it, i don't think i can PM a document?
It's still a nippy/fiddly job to do first time, probably took me 20+hours, including the port cleaning.

Re: Parking Sensors
No need to remove - you can see the groove that needs to be clear on the outside. Careful use of here ash usually does the trick but not to harsh as they are fragile. I've read that a few times and it still doesn't make any sense to me! :) So the sensors can be removed by levering them out carefully?

Re: Headlamp washers
My headlamp washers refused to work during my MOT last month and it failed on that alone.
Was an annoying cost, around £180 to supply and fit a new washer motor IIRC.

Re: Autocar - the finest RS model
I was all over the backside of a DB9 recently whilst cruising the country roads in Aberdeenshire, it looked very ungainly, but anything resembling a straight and it was gone.
I probably should sell my RS4 as i have another car coming, but this kind of chat makes that decision even harder!!
