After a house break in 1 week after having the car I had a driveway post fitted. Hopefully just enough to make it harder to knick than the next one.

Makes sense to me, I have a 2017 model with ceramics and have noticed no issue in the wet.

Hello mate - mine changes with the “Entertainment volume” setting in the parking aid settings. This is accessed via the settings button when in reverse or via Car -> Driver Assist -> Parking aid. That'll be water getting in between the trim and the aluminium backing, a reasonably common fault. It looks to be quite minor so you may get away with removing the trim, glueing and clamping it before it gets any worse.
