RS6 payload
I have to pick up some tiles in my 2004 RS6 with coil springs replacing the DRS. They weigh about 600kgs which i think is about the payload but i cannot find out exactly. I guess two trips are safest but wondered whether 1 should be ok. Any thoughts?

Re: For sale RS6 Avant 2004
Hi - same gearbox, no problems. MRC flushed it through a few times when they took over servicing and it has been perfect since. Same intercoolers. I also probably average 23 mpg over the last 5 years so it has not been thrashed although the gearrbox remap helped. Would sell for £10k probably not for...

For sale RS6 Avant 2004
I bought this car as an ex-demonstrator in January 2005 and have had such fun driving it that I have managed to put 171,000 miles on it. Full service history, tax till March and MOT to November. Mugella blue with silver seats. MRC tuned and maintained. Coil overs, stage 1 and gearbox re-mapped. Serv...

Did you get sorted? I am OX2 so if you are Oxon then you have probably seen me. I have done about 170,000 around here!

Brake failure
Has any one else suffered complete brake failure. It's a bit scary and needs a different driving skill to get home! My 2004 RS6 had no brakes coming to the roundabout. The pedal was solid, no travel and no slowing down. Rapid change down and handbrake averted disaster. The engine tickover has all of...

Cambelt
I would have it done by a specialist if i were you. THe first two were done by Audi and they failed to change the thermostat. 10,000 miles later the car is abondoned in France. If you use a specialist they will think outside of the box and look after the car. The cambelt change at 120,000 miles was ...

RS6 Wheels
I am thinking about a new set of wheels but am getting conflicting advice. The direct replacement for the 19x9 appears to be Oz or BBS (? with spacers) - anything else recommended? If I went to 18" then the standard size is 18x8.5 or 18x7.5 for winter. Again, BBS are recommended (with spacers) but n...

RE: Re: RE: higher mileage rs6
124,000 on mine with one owner. Replace DRC, check cambelt replacement and make sure gearbox is serviced. Whatever you do go to a specialist outfit to look after it as it will save a fortune. I am looking forward to the next 100k.
