No real reason.. The front were drilled when I purchased the car, so I just replaced like for like. I did realize that drilled discs weren't standard on the RS6, and in retrospect, probably should have put drilled on the rear too... Have you noticed any difference having drilled all round ?.

Just called Reading Audi, and as long as your car is over 3 years old, you qualify for their AudiAvantage program 20% off labour, 10% off parts. Pads - Front 151 (Inc fitting and VAT) - Rear 167 (Inc fitting and VAT) Disks - Front 242 (Inc) - Rear 257 (Inc). Much cheaper than I feared !!... :P

Can anyone tell me how long front disks should last before they need replacing ?. My 04 had new disks and pads at 17,000 three years ago. Since then the car has only covered around 12,000 miles ?.

Also - roughly how much will new front disks and pads cost .
