New Brakes
I will need to replace the disc and pads in my S4 soon. I was wondering whether anyone has fitted anything other than the standard brake discs, and could recommend them. I don't necessarily have a problem with the brakes, I just like the look of drilled and grooved disc (I know I will get more dust!...

RS4 Brakes
Anyone ever put RS4 B7 brake callipers on a B6 S4? I assume that the discs are a larger diameter so they will be needed as well. Will they fit with the standard 18" wheels and are they fitted on the same hub mounting bolt positions?
Any advice would be gratefully received.

RE: Cold Start issues - Resolved!
I had exactly the same problems as you described above. I also had the starter motor changed and have had trouble free motoring since (over one year now).
I had a previous thread on the subject a while back but its good to remind new members.
Welcome to the forum and hope you find it useful.

RE: battery replacement
As xyber stated above, but with the addition of skinned knuckles..! You will also need a long thin extension with a torqx bit to undo the battery clamp. A bit tight but not impossible. Just don't drop the screw.
Goodluck!

RE: Are my tyres worn out?
Fronts definitely for me! It's a heavy car with the engine out front. I'm on my second set of fronts and original set of rears in just over a year. All were about 5-6mm when I bought the car.

RE: Serpentine Belt
The car definitely feels smoother and quieter to drive. I think the call of a replacement exhaust beckons me to release some of that glorious V8 rumble.

RE: Serpentine Belt
Thanks xyber, Got the idler roller, the tensioner, the belt and the snub mount all done at the same time. Noticed a small leak in one of the axillary rads from a stone impact, but certainly not a bad leak and not worth doing right at the moment. Front of the car did have to come off. The belt only r...

Serpentine Belt
I suspect my serpentine belt has snapped. Going hard out of a roundabout, I got a slight rumble and then the battery light came on. I've had a look in the engine bay but can see a thing. There was a small strand of what could be debris from the belt on the top of the engine, but that was about it. O...

Chunky, The part number is A8E2 955 603 C for the bracket. The price paid at the Audi Stealer was £55.89 (Ex-VAT). Get plenty of plasters! Th plastic water deflector is part number A8E2 819 403 A0 1C and was only £12.54 (Ex-VAT). My one was broken by the previous owner and I was plesantly suprised t...
