It sounds like the secondary air injection pump. Unplug it and see if the noise stops. These pumps can be removed, blanking plates fitted & coded out.
Sounds like a cracked abs ring.

Re: bilstien B14's
I have had a couple of customers give me feedback on these fairly recently. Its been all good.
Having used pss9's in the past i would be confident of the b14 kit being impressive.

Re: Powerflex rear diff mount, anybody fitted yet?
If going apikol my suggestion would be to use the blue (street) version.
I have tried both and the blue (street) is by far more suited to road use.
I have never tried the powerflex insert so cannot comment.

Re: Gulf formula Gvx 5w/30
I have never used it before. I have however used gulf competition to good effect.
I have now reverted back to quantum 5/40 due to it being able to source it very cheap plus i change the oil every 3k miles so it does not make much sense to spend a fortune on oil.

It is not good to hear about poor service. This is a pet hate of mine.
Loba have plenty of dealers so it might be worth dealing with one of them in future.

In my experience i would say that fitting braided lines are worth it.skywriter wrote:any members change there stock brake lines for braided ss ? if you did was there any real improvement in brakeing. pedal feel. less fade. is this mod worth the expence in your opinion.
They are also not overly expensive.

Re: Anyone made the switch to w12 discs?
The phaeton rotors perform perfectly. I actually prefer them over the OE b7 rs4 rotors.
I have now changed over from the phaeton's to the 380mm girodisc rotors.
