Agreed. I had Superchips done on mine, about 20bhp and 20 Torques, no noticeable difference in reality. Shame as it cost me £500!

Fellas, had the same problem. Turns out it was the starter motor bearings. Had it reconditioned and all's well now. Interestingly, Audi's first action was to change the ignition switch ( and managed to put the steering wheel back on offset-muppets!) Needless to say I didn't pay for that!

What were the symptoms? Mine has just started indicating fluctuating temps, from about 70 to the normal 90 deg C. Normally sits bang on 90 regardless of workload. I was sat at motorway speeds when it happened. Seems to have fixed itself but don't like having a suspect T guage.

Replacement Alloys for S4?

Alloys on the S4 (03) need either refurbishing or replacing. Like the look of the RS4 alloy, but I understand the offset is wrong. Dealers have recommended the 19" S3 alloy that looks the same, anybody had any experience of this? Cheers Fellas,
