RE: Re: Not a happy bunny

Had a bit of a dice with a guy in an Astra VXR last night and I think I've now come to the conclusion that the RS6 is a fast car on motorways !

Re: RE: Not a happy bunny

I understand the power to weight issue but having just come out of an E55 amg which aint the lightest of motors but that would have blown the doors off of that little Audi and thats whats hurting more I know what you mean! I came from a 2004 E55 AMG to the Audi, and the Audi is nowhere near as quic...

RE: ride height

First spotted it on a level surface at the motorway services last night on my way back from Bristol. I was walking towards the car from the back and thought it looked really low. When you look at the side of the car you can see that the body looks a lot higher off the tyre on the front than the back...

ride height

I had the full H&R kit fitted about a month ago, but looking at the car last night it seems to be sitting quite a bit lower on the ass end than the front--is this normal. I attach a couple of pics taken this morning.

RE: revs dipping

no, when it settles down its idling sweet as a nut at about 800rpm. Its just when you are on the overrun approaching a junction for example. You think the car is going to cut out but the revs drop to about 600rpm the suddenly jump to 1000 rpm and the settle down to 800rpm.

revs dipping

Just a quick question. When I come up to a junction for example, just before the car stops the revs dip to about 600rpm and then jump to about 1000rpm before settling at about 800rpm--is this normal?

RE: Feeling bumps in road in my accelerator pedal??

To be honest I had the suspension done by Grizz about 3 days after I bought the car, so don't really remember what it was like before! The car is completely standard apart from the suspension (53 plate Avant). I find the car superb on flat surfaces ie on the motorway, but it does crash over bumps on...

Its guys like this who forced me to give up biking after many years of fun! 3 young kids now and although wifey seldom lays down the law, she made me see the light! Still miss the bikes though :-(

So excuse my ignorance but what effects does the MRC reprogramme have on the driving of the car? Does it feel substantially quicker? Is it more driveable with the gearbox reprogrammed? Just wondered what the benefits are for the outlay.

RE: Feeling bumps in road in my accelerator pedal??

I get it. Its not so much a vibration but a feedback from the throttle when going over bumps. I had a full H&R and Hotchkiss rollbars fitted 3 weeks ago and it still does it. Don't think its anything to worry about--I just put it down to the fact its a 6 year old car and the car was designed well be...

Pirelli 255/35/19

When i bought my rs6 2 weeks ago it had 3 continentals and 1 pirelli fitted. I prefer to have matching tyres so have changed the pirelli for a continental. I therefore have a spare Pirelli Pzero with 5/6mm on it if anybody is interested. Not looking for much--just a fair offer and the ability to col...
