High mileage S4/B9 worth the risk ?

I feel the need, the need for speed..... Haven't had a proper car since i sold my 2004 4.2 V8 S4 some years back, since then i've been driving sofas (RRS etc) and so i very tempted back into S4's, pretty much my favourite car of all time. Now here's the dilemma..... my budget ca stretch to a 2017/18...

Seem to have the control of the IPOD sorted now although to be honest it's not great... Love the IPOD solution in my Land Rover, I can control it as I like through the steering wheel controls. Anyway I still can't get it to charge the IPOD !!! It's a real pain because I now have to remove it and cha...

No, you'll effectively get a playlist of all the tracks on your ipod and then have to select each track sequentially starting 0-9 then A-Z. Still don't get it, sorry it's just me I know... Ok understand that CD's 1-5 are the IPOD albums 1-5, this makes sense. But when you say that CD 6 is a way to ...

I have a B6 although I have the user manuals from both B6 and B7, it looks very similar to me ! Yes on the rear leg room point, it's tight ! I had 3 of the children in the back a few days ago (2 in child seats) and the 3rd (in the middle) was squeezed in pretty tight. Must admit that my B6 looks old...

Thanks for the replies.

So CD 6 will let you access the other albums on the IPOD ? How do you navigate through them ? is it just a case of press next and you get, 7, then 8 etc ?

IPOD Connection

Anyone have an IPOD connected to their stereo via the Audi hard wire kit ? Mine came with it installed and I'm just trying to work out a few things, 1) Does it charge the IPOD when it's connected 2) It is controlled via the stereo head unit and it uses the CD channel and therefore each CD (No1-6) ar...

OK gone for some P-Zeros as I got then cheap, well cheap here anyway. In the end £110 each for standard 235x40x18 reckon they'd be cheaper in the UK ?

Thanks for all the replies, Yes a Tip would have been smoother but really just didn't want to give up that "Driver" feel that a manual brings. Yes I seem to have slipped into the 1st-3rd-5th / 2nd-4th-6th gear change habit as the torque easily compensates. Trying to play around with the seat positio...

Tried to be a smooth as possible with the clutch release (gradual) but I also find that gradual = slower and slower = revs drops = more jolt as you feed the power back in..

Gear Change (How to be Smooth...)

Ok so I'm still getting usec to my S4, but I'm finding it really hard to make smooth gear changes, in fact practically impossible. I drive many different cars regularly (thank you Hertz) and I have never had a car that I could not change gear in reasonably smoothly. Some times I get it right in the ...

Lowered Suspension

Had the S4 for a couple of weeks and although I fully understand that most Audi let alone an S4 have generally harder suspension, I can't help but feel that the suspension on this S4 is just too hard ! It's had a 35mm lowering done last year (previous owner) and I'm wondering how much of the hardnes...
