If its stiil interesting, Parklands Audi, Gloucester have quoted me £770 incl VAT for the cambelt and tensioners etc plus £ 90 for the waterpump and thermostat. The Audi service printout for my car requires a cambelt at 60k or 3 years. I checked this at Audi Cust Service and at another dealer. Ny ex...

Cambelt resurrected again
Just got to 86k and relised that the cambelt needs changing, done at 44k last time. The book says every 40k, the previous posts seem to say 60k is now the required interval. Which is correct, dealer isnt sure! Now out of warrantyso I will use a specialist, if I can be sure it needs doing. Whats the ...

Does anyone have an idea if the DRC fails on rough or smooth roads. Has anyone done a poll? My RS6 gets hammered round the bumpy rural roads of the Cotswolds and at 70k its on its second set of shocks. Dealer incompetence apart, is this not too bad for a heavy, limited production, performance car wi...

No a Range Rover preceeded by a Subaru. The RS6 was intended to be a cross between the two!deanobeano wrote:Blimey! What was your last car - Thrust one!jamesslater wrote: Great old beast though and good on tyres, petrol and consumables.

RE: Re: RE: RS6 Brake pads
Now I find the local factor can get Brembo, Ferodo or Girling pads, which for normal road use?
Brembo very expensive, my local garage, performance based trade, says Ferodo are fine.
Any views?

DRC action?
I have just had a second dealer rectify the faulty work done by another. First dealer replaced both rear shocks and on accumulator. Second dealer, my normal service dealer, told me that the shocks must be fitted in opposite pairs or the new shock blows the older one. so dealer two replaced the other...

RS6 Brake pads
Any advice on replacing RS6 pads? Front pad warning light has just come on. Dealer savs they need 2hrs labour as they "have to bed them in". Cost £346 and he warns I may need discs even though they have done 24k since replacement at huge cost. Mechanic told me at last service 3k ago that the discs w...
