RE: High Oil Consumption!!
Is the car on long life servicing, if it is suggest you change to fixed servicing and stop using the long life oil. The oil is very thin and I believe this contributes to high consumption.

I have disabled the indexing, superfetch and the automatic degraf but it continues to be unresponsive and thrashing the hdd. I cannot think of what else can be disabled to make it useable,...

The untested software warning is just microsoft trying to drum up business for its own software certification program, just another way of them trying to fleece people. If you have any concerns then set a system restore point (see backup/restore under control panel) before doing the install, if you ...

Insurance document about hire car rates
I managed to find the link below and from what I can understand from the documents it defines the maximum rates that that can be claimed for a hire car in the event of an insurance claim. Makes interesting reading considering how people get landed with an inferior car during an insurance claim. http...

You only a get a few tries at entering the code then it does into an alternative safe mode and requires a different code. Suggest you contact a main dealer, if you bought the car from them they will probably let you have it for nothing otherwise there are some sites that will provide a code but at a...

The response from Cardiff Audi is typical and the body shop they use is awful as well. The paintwork they did on an S4 was appauling, you could see all the preparation marks under the paint. With regard to paint thickness, yes they can measure it but the fact that the panel shows more paint than the...

Kwik Fit would be the last people I would use or recommend to play with anyone's car. Considering the damage that could be done by messing up an oil change, how much is a new engine these days? Anyway are you really going to get good oil for £49 when you need 9litres. No doubt once they've had a loo...

RE: Fuel Gauge Reading - How Much Left Really?
My suspicion is that the low level warning quite conservative, I had this come on and did another 15 ish gentle miles on the motorway before filling up, managed to put in 56 litres of fuel. Would not recommend you push your luck as there is a lot of fuel system that would need cleaning out. There ha...

RE: Broken rear spring replacement, some questions.
Honest John in the Telegraph has been banging on about problems with car springs for ages. Due to way the ends aren't finished off properly they corrode and eventually break usually with a little help from a speed bump.

RE: DIS tailgate not closed warning
Looked at the tailgate and there are no specific drain holes, there are a couple of plastic bumpstops which could possibly drain any water but nothing by design.
Going back to dealer Saturday morning..
Still think they're useless, all style and no substance.

RE: DIS tailgate not closed warning
Well the repair has lasted less than 2 weeks, DIS tailgate not locked warning displayed today, suspect a loose connection as bashing the lock makes the light in the tailgate flicker when open. Perfect timing as I got the letter from the dealer hoping everything with their service was okay and thanki...

And green energy were the muppets who got the silicon in the supermarket petrol and damaged so many cars. I'll stick with decent branded petrol thanks.
