Re: RS2 owner...now with an S6 Avant too
I have the same SD cards and they work fine in my B7  Toshers - I received the card today and have transferred the kids music on there with what I though was a logical filing system - i.e. each album as a folder with the individual tracks saved as mp3s within each folder. However when I com...

Re: RS2 owner...now with an S6 Avant too
That is an option, but not necessarily an economical one...this was supposed to be the car I didn't spunk money on....I have an RS2 already to do that jobMr V10 wrote:Buy them an iPad each. I hate aftermarket head units in cars.

RS2 owner...now with an S6 Avant too
I won't ramble on with a long winded post as it looks like this forum is about as well populated as a rural outpost on the Faroe Islands. To cut a long story short I recently acquired a lovely 2004 S6 Avant to replace an E46 330D I ran for a year for business. So far, so good :jump: All the importan...

A few thoughts re Brake Disc & Pad Choice
This is a topic that has been covered at length on S2 forum and on here too I'm sure but thought I'd share my experience re replacement discs/pads on the RS2. I'm running standard brakes with the regular RS2 Brembo calipers. Rear disc part number is 8A0615601C by the way. It appears from the discs I...

Re: Tyre replacement for RS2
I would agree with what Scilly has said already re sizing. I am running Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetrics on mine and I think they are the business to be honest. I've had Pilot Sports on an E36 M3 Evo and they weren't bad at all but I have to say the F1s are the best trye I've had on any car so far. Pro...

Re: 996 turbo calipers
Sims
I noticed the other day that someone was selling a set of 996 front calipers and brackets on the S2fourm for £325 which seemed like a good price (assuming they are in good condition of course).

Lambda Sensor Issue?
Just back from a near 400 mile round trip in the RS2. As always the car was absolutely rock solid and made light work of the crappy conditions we drove through. However, the friendly on board computer gave me and avg MPG for the trip of 19.8. Now granted, we weren't in the slow lane the whole way bu...

Re: RS2 LHD 7.5K !!!!!
I've never actually advertised it, took it off the road last August when I picked up an old MkIII Golf GTi as a cheap run around that I don't care too much about. The Lupo is just too nice (and impractical) for commuting and ferrying kids around in. I reckon spring time might be the time to let it g...

Re: RS2 LHD 7.5K !!!!!
Adam Interesting.....re your next cars. I have a Red Lupo GTi you maybe interested in that I may still have in 12 months time. It's totally standard, 28k miles and only 2 owners from new. It has the cracking 6 speed box and goes like a little rocket. It's being stored at the moment as I have 2 other...

Re: Time warp RS2
For all the cars that look stunning in red I don't think it suits the RS2. Personal taste I guess but Polar Silver (I'm biased) and Nogaro Blue are my favourites, that white one wasn't bad either but maybe I just liked that because it was just so damn rare! There's no wonder this has been up for sal...

Re: Time warp RS2
Scilly - you mention in your last post about the 'inferior gearbox'. That's interesting, do you know when this 'inferior' gearbox ceased to be used in the RHD RS2? Also, is there a way of checking which gearbox mine had fitted when new? Presumably against the VIN number somehow?
Thanks
