Clearly the amount of leakage is subjective in the view of the eyes of the tester rather than an absolute indicator of safety or otherwise. (For what it's worth the car feels like a trampoline at the moment).

Ironside - a week after audi diagnosed 3 leaking struts mine went through mot fine on the suspension (they reported one strut as "slightly leaking"). Failed on a heap of other stuff but never mind.. James - as our friends over the pond in the US have been having similar issues despite presumably dri...

Right, got offer for parts fully covered but they want a 10% contribution to labour because of "age and mileage". It's an 04 on 37k - has anyone with similar got labour covered 100%?

Thanks drybeer, sorry you're not covered but tbh at least you don't have to live in fear of the new improved version continuing to go pop anyway...

Interesting reading that the parts goodwill is "substantial" rather than absolute.

But rather than coil over about I'm sure I'll bounce back soon  On a serious note I'm asking my dealer to pick up the phone t...

Desperately seeking Starkey...

No news from the man himself? Should we all bombard his email with demands for the press release to be (shock horror) released ?

Starting to feel as deflated as the pressure in the beast's NSR and OSF shockers !!

Latest from Wakefield:

"There is a publication due this month which will cover materials only on spring dampers and shock absorber."

He's a good guy and can only say what he's been told so I'm not going to be critical of him, but as for audi uk .....

The 'news' doesn't seem to have made it up north either. Audi Wakefield:

"Thank you for email David I will look into this publication, as far as I am aware there is nothing for the DRC on the rs6 but I will confirm this tomorrow."

Well done Stuart, chuffed to see some progress at last and largely down to your efforts. Although I'm in the qualifying minority I will be following up with Audi UK with a number of points - for example if they're offering 6 years' "support" on the old system, why should we be happy with just 2 year...

Well the free google translation is classic 'allo 'allo but here's what jerry has to say on www.motor-talk.de: Today hello has lifted my RS6 on the stage and has ascertained have both rear dampers in the inlet of the system DRC a leakage. The car drives itself for approx. 2 weeks very spongy and it ...

Cas - RS6 Avant - 37000 - Audi Franklin Leeds diagnose require just OSR shock + accumulator replacing for £1k. Hi guys and girls, new here as just doing the research on what the options are now as out of warranty. (H&Rs sound a better bet than a punt on whether new DRC will last more than 5 mins..)....
