White rs4 cab and s6 avant m25 and m/a23 pm Friday 28th

Friday mid afternoon followed White rs4 cab junctions 9 to 8 m25 and new s6 avant followed me down the a23 all the way to roundabout top of mill road Brighton. I was in my dirty Moro blue s4 avant - both cars made a boring journey more interesting!

Hi

The flywheel is being replaced today - the central hub/boss/whatver the hell you call it had decided to follow it's own path. Thanks for all the replies, I'm going off to weep gently onto a large bill

Thanks for the replies. Any ideas how safe it is to drive with a shagged flywheel?

Cheers

B7 S4 flywheel replacement URGENT

Hi all

Just heard from my local dealer that my flywheel needs replacing and have been quoted over £2k. If anyone can point me in the direction of a cheaper alternative that's close to Brighton I'd appreciate it.

Gutted is an understatement.

Cheers

RE: Re: RE: Daytona avant, western road brighton.

Hi

I'll be posting this as a separate thread on the S4 forum but thought I'd try some local knowledge. My S4 is in with Brighton Audi at the moment and I've just been quoted over £2k to replace the flywheel! Anyone know of any local alternatives that won't need me to sell my organs?

Cheers!

Hi. I had exactly the same problem. Initially no click from near the relay(?) (to the right of the steering wheel) which was fixed by replacing the ignition switch. When the "click" started the car still wouldn't start so replaced the starter motor and all has been fine since - started first time ye...

RE: Re: Cold Start Problems...

Heard back from the dealer and apparently the starter motor has gone - current is getting to it but doesn't pass beyond it. They did mention that apparently changing the starter motor on a B8 S4 is an engine out job and costs about £3k!!!! Changing the ignition switch did make a difference for me - ...
