My sat nav has decided i am permanently somewhere between Portsmouth and the Isle of Wight, in spite of me being back in Kent for 3 weeks

Just another option, i had mine done by 4 rings in Dartford a few weeks ago. £930 including pump, flat belt and stat, really good service, and they are mobile, they come to you!

Why is it that when you decide to change the front discs and pads you've been meaning to, but isn't urgent, and have just paid the money, the alternator sies a death on the way home with your shiney discs still in the boot!

When you say rope, would piano wire be more appropriate?
