Re: At risk of starting another tyre debate
Started out with P Zeros on mine and they were awful. Lots of tramlining and poor steering feel & consistency. Changed to PS4S’s a while back (and a strut brace at the same time) which really helped with steering. Recently put SC7’s on and feels better again. Fitted 2 piece EBC discs which made surp...

Re: KW lowering springs
Ok - I’m going to order them. Did you get DRC re-gassed or suchlike to take account of lower ride height?

KW lowering springs
Long time RS owner here. Had my current B8 (had RS2 and B7 before) for 5 years and made few subtle upgrades over the years. It’s done 60k miles, had DRC refreshed last year but now thinking to swap out old springs for KW height adjustable ones. I find the ride a bit floaty so looking for modest impr...

Wanted RS4 B8 - black, silver or grey
Hello. As the title says - I'm looking for a nice RS4 B8 in grey, black or silver. Flexible on spec - I haven't driven one yet (had an RS4 B7 a few years back, before that a tuned S4, before that an RS2) and am pondering whether the dynamic steering and DRC are really upgrades, or the car is better ...

Re: RS4 anti-roll bar on S4 B6 - part no.?
Tyres are awful; unbranded jobs that the car came with. They are unfortunately pretty new so seems a bit wasteful to simply discard but I guess that's my next job.

Re: RS4 anti-roll bar on S4 B6 - part no.?
That's what I thought. I already bought all the brackets and bushes too, hopefully 4 Rings come back to me and can do it soon. Great car but it is a bit" understeery" isn't it. My RS2 was the same... Must save up for an RS4 I guess.

RS4 anti-roll bar on S4 B6 - part no.?
Hello. Just went to get my nice new RS4 ARB fitted to my S4 at the weekend and the garage told me that I had the wrong one; I had part no. 8E0 511 409 AL but they are telling me I should have ordered part no. 8E0 511 409 AJ instead. Can anybody confirm what the part no. is for the thicker RS4 ARB pl...

Re: Hello from new S4 owner
Nothing to see really, car looks standard. Tailpipes are v.slightly larger diameter and there is the LPG filling point down between them. And of course my cunning wiper blade mod...

Hello from new S4 owner
New to this section of the forum but not RS246. Had an RS2 a few years ago, just bought an S4 B6. 89k miles manual avant c/w LPG conversion by BRC. Also has MRC remap and full MIJ stainless steel exhaust system. Goes pretty well and does about 200 miles on a £35 tankful of LPG. Performance drop bare...

RS2 Seat Bolster Repair
In the spirit of sharing knowledege... I just dismantled the driver's seat of my RS2 today to find out what was causing the outside of the seat to offer little support. I thought that the right hand side bolster foam had disintegrated, but it was actually not this and very simple to fix. Just in cas...

RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Lazy Windows
hello. 2 weeks into otherwise fantastic RS2 ownership and i am still having problems with my passenger side electric window... having checked the motor works both ways by hard-wiring it (it does) i bought both a new passenger door switch and a new relay and it's still doing the same thing. aargh. an...

RE: Lazy Windows
no - in the end i've just removed the doorcard, disconnected the motor and jammed the window closed. clearly not a viable long term solution... how can i test to see if the motor is faulty?
