Dull or stealthy? It's sometimes good not to stand out too much when the car is so rapid. Melting into the background of 2.0tdi Q5s can have its advantages too. What colour was it?

Had one overnight last week back and thought it really good - so now have one on order! I had a RS4 B7 for 5 years and tried the RS4 B8 for a day too but it just didn't have the same appeal as the B7. It just didn't have the same feeling of involvement. SQ5 doesn't have the raw appeal of the RS4 B7 ...

Just arrived at a foggy Oulton Park so will post later. About 20 cars mix of RS4 and R8 in variety of specs and colours.

So glad I read this thread... secured an invite and now booked at Oulton Park next week. When I booked online for the am/pm session choice it did show there were still a few (3-4) places left at most days. May have all gone now though. Miss my B7 RS4 badly so be good to see if the B8 can measure up ...

Take a look at the mags online one of them did a winter tyre test that had all the info. Can't remember whether it was Car or EVO. They rated the Contis first but not sure you can get them in RS4 standard size. I'd go for the Vreds instead. Try Camskill Tyres online they seem pretty good when I was ...

M3 deal looks good but that must be base spec? Doesn't it need a few £k throwing at it to add nav, decent sound, etc?

Or save yourself £5k and go for this one with Audi warranty?

Anyone found anything that works well to turn your black exhaust end pipes back into gleaming silver/chrome finish?

Don't want to risk anything too abrasive in case it damages the finish.

Really? I thought most didn't have the armrest unless you wanted an armchair experience in which case maybe a tdi se would be better? Seriously from memory the arm rest was an option at extra cost and the car I test drive before purchase had one and I ended up folding it out the way otherwise I elbo...

If it makes you happier I can tell you that I've done the occasional run to Germany for work and the car is good for 166mph and still accelerating. Logged on one of our work GPS units so accurate to 0.1mph no155mph limiter cut in but had to back off for traffic!
