Hi, can someone run through the basic symptoms of a fuel pump that is on its way out or is knackered, thanks. Would not starting on the first or second turn be one of them and poor fuel pressure be another?

My car seems to be spluttering a bit under idle and when I hit 4000rpm the power gets greatly reduced. Any ideas what the idling problem could be as I feel it relates to the cut in power at high revs? Thanks.

I've still got my precats in and I heard that they can be very restrictive to the turbos. What sort of brake can I get out of the car with KO4s, 440cc injectors and an RS4 fuel pump with the precats ungutted vs gutted? Thanks.

Hi people, I'm looking for a decent fuel pump with a cage to fit the S4. What pump can I get that will handle around 440bhp at a reasonable cost? Thanks for your help.

Got some new intercooler hoses that need changing. How hard is it to take off the front bumper and does anyone know of a link that gives instructions about this with pics, cheers.

Coolant temp sensor seems to be working fine. I had a faulty one before and the water temp gauge was all over the place, sometimes reading 90 then 60 then 0. I'd have to agree with you that the fueling does seem to be off, but because of what remains the mystery.

Would a faulty air intake temp sender affect power aswell?

If it is an air intake temp sender, where is this located on the car, is it an expensive part and is it easy to fit?

The symptoms start a majority of the time when the car is hot.

I don't think that would cause a fault like this, though I could be wrong. any other suggestions or ideas people?

My car sometimes when stationary will not drop the idle down to 800rpm. Sometimes it will fluctuate between 1000 and 1200 rpm. Any reasons why it could be behaving this way? By the way, this is after the initial start up high idle. Thanks.
