Don't want to make light of what is clearly a very serious problem, but I'd be happy that's all that's wrong with your S4 if I were you ;) Haha, fair point  Being sceptical, I'm sure now that my extended warranty has just run out, everything is programmed to start going wrong - I'm just waiti...

Not sure what I've done, but it seems to be fixed ?! I spent some time trying all sorts of things, e.g. engine running, window up, window down, hold button, engine off, window down, window up, hold button, etc, etc...... ...and something seems to have sorted it, because now it seems to be working ag...

'One-touch' window

Hi all, My one-touch capability for the driver's window has stopped working. (i.e. the ability to press the window button once to drop the window all the way). Strangely, it still works for up, just not down?! This happened once before about 4 months ago, and Audi sorted it while it was in for a ser...

The coil packs are the same for 2004 and 2005. If you search on EuroCarParts for S4 4.2 and try different searches for 2004, 2005, 2006, etc, the part number is always 413440540. Bear in mind this is a EuroCarParts part number, not an Audi part number, hence maybe why you have a different number for...

Done it

For those thinking of replacing all 8 ignition coils themselves, I have discovered it is not as daunting a task as I originally thought - even for a 'spanner novice' like me :D Taking it very slowly this weekend, I had all 8 done in about 45 mins to an hour, including a short test drive and tea brea...

I think you're right. Looking more closely at the engine bay, I can't see anyway of getting to the torx screw that holds the ignition loom in place at the rear offside (by cylinders 3 & 4) without getting the airbox out the way  Anybody got any good tips, or is it easiest just to remove the air...

Spark plugs were done at the last service a few weeks ago, so they are fine. Any advice on the offside bank? I can see that the cold air feed ducting will need to be removed, but I'm hoping the airbox itself can stay in place. Cheers, Ben. Good look with the offside bank one's, they are a pain. Are ...

Excellent - many thanks for that!

I shall buy the BREMI ones from EuroCarParts and fit these.

Cheers,

Ben.

Hi,

Just checked and they are definitely the BREMI ones - are these ones good then?

Are there any better ones I should consider?

Many thanks,

Ben.

Ignition Coils

Hi all, I have had 2 ignition coils fail over the last 4 weeks, and am therefore considering that it may also be worth replacing the other 6 to save myself future problems. I have found them for sale at EuroCarParts for approx £25 each (S4 Ignition Coils) - does anybody know if these are any good, o...
