As I understand it the Avant does not comply with the more stringent US crash and/or pollution legislation and accordingly only the saloon version was available in the US in a modified form. Accordingly would not think you can import one either. Their loss in my opinion.

RE: Driving on Snow

CarlT Just back myself and I spent an inordinate amount of time researching chains and eventually came to the sad conclusion that it is not possible to find chains for an RS6 with 19'' wheels. Others on this site have also been through the same process and arrived at the same conclusion - change the...

'French Optimax'

Off to the French alps next week with the beast - anyone know what the French equivalent of Optimax is ? Anyone had any experience of actually putting Pewag chains on the wheels at the roadside as understand more snow is forecast and think chains will be mandatory. Also having invested in a new set ...

Brand New RS6

Hitchin Audi have another brand new RS6 - blue, cross-drilled brakes, electric steering wheel etc - in their showroom. seems like they have an endless supply of these as I thought my grey one would be the very last one they would have ! So if anyone wants a nice Xmas present to themselves suggest you...

Audi service plan

I am seriously thinking of taking out one of their service and maintenance plans for my new RS6. Anyone here have experience with these ? I am being quoted £79.15 per month based upon 10K miles per annum with 8p per mile above this (alternative was £133.88 per month basis 15K) and contract length ca...

My horns were never out but thanks anyway. I simply found it odd that the site continued to host advertising from a company that clearly wasnt trading any longer and much of this forum was previously directing members to using them. Dont think being around for longer has much to do with it but your ...

Thanks Phil

Other than the banner advertising I notice the 'sticky' above is also inviting browsers to purchase from Bushy's company so that probably should become 'unstuck'.

Sorry for causing you administrators this bother but something probably should be done about this !

Extreme car care

If they are out of business and owing a number of decent folk money (as is suggested elsewhere on this forum) why oh why is this website still hosting their advertising ??????????????? I notice the thread below has been locked which is all well and good provided browsers to the site know what is goi...

Just got mine this weekend and not stopped grinning. My favourite review from Topgear goes 'Key......burble......burble.....vroom......aaaarrrrggghhh....aaaaaaarrrrrrggggghhhhhhh !'

Which pretty much sums up my view - fabulous

Wanted - 18" wheels for RS6

~Looking for a set of 18" wheels for my RS6 - want to take the car to the Alps this winter and my 19" wheels wont take snow chains as insufficient clearance ! Accordingly if someone had wheels and tyres would be even better.

In anticipation

Ben

Sorry but I think you are wrong - if you elect for the 'symphony' sound system you lose the satnav screen, it is made clear on the options list from Audi.

Huge coincidence ! The black RS6 was fine with the exception of the brakes which were either suffering from stones inside or need a real seeing-to (or settling in) as the squeaking was awful. Also has symphony sound system so no satnav screen but that is hardly a terminal omission. Dont know how lon...
