A knackered MAF will cause a lean mixture,so higher EGT's and more heat at the cams/followers etc.,thus probably higher chance of wear.

Are stealers outside the UK included? If so,then i would like to add "Bourguignon" in Leeuwarden(Netherlands). A financial horrorstory: When i just got my RS4 beginning last year,i noticed some hesitations and a "Darth Vader"-ish sound at full boost after replacing the DV's(old ones leaked),so i too...

Exact locations of the aircon lines

Guys;anyone who knows this? The thing is that when i had my aircon on, on a warm day, there are a few drops of what seems water on the undertray at the location of the ventilation slits at both passenger and driverside;i mean the 3 slits between de front end of the car and the front wheel arch;you ca...

All i know is that a standard one did it in 10.9 s according to a roadtest against an E46 M3 and a 996.

I've read that a standard RS4 would be 280-300 g/s with a healthy MAF;mine has a custom remap and went over 350 g/s.

Cosworth has a reputation regarding cilinder-heads;they also machine and provide the heads for the 1000+ bhp EVO's in Florida.
The Merc. 190E 2,3-16 is a nice N/A example from the eighties.

I prefer the standard look much more over all the variants i've seen;that includes the B7 look, which is to much "in your face" imo.

Quite surprised at some of their comments, I thought it would be a bit of a slagging off but quite the opposite. EVO-owners are generally nice people with interest in other performance cars. This opinion is a bit biased however, because my former car was an EVO V RS (=light weight version) ;g...

The Audi-specialist who maintaines my car and a bunch of others with the 2,7-biturbo engine, had an S4 about two months ago with all sorts of knocking noises. Turned out to be camwear, but in this case really bad;i can't recall the milage (km's actually) ,but it was high. He thinks there is more then ...

I would say they are about equal in agressive looks;although the B5 RS4 differs more from a B5 A4 then B7 RS4--B7 A4.

Both great cars, but i am a forced induction addict

Always liked M3's,except the new one (E92);the E30 M3 and E46 M3 are great cars imo.
Wouldn't trade my RS for one however.

I would say:give it WOT in 5th and/or 6th a few times from lowish revs to beyond spoolup;the boost will be high at spoolup and can reveal dodgy noises like whistling from leaking DV's or a turbo on it's way out. It's also a test to show if the clutch is slipping. Also check the Y-boostpipes that run...
