RE: Audi Concert Stereo Issue (volume controller)
Hey Mc-BigE and Tartan Rob, thanks for your comments...all very interesting stuff. That link you posted Mc-BigE to the other thread, that was very interesting indeed. And it's too bad there isn't a repair place here in NZ like the ones you describe. That would have been the perfect option. I am shyi...

RE: Audi Concert Stereo Issue (volume controller)
Thanks Gavin, yep, good advice...I have looked on both Ebay and Ebay UK, and there are a couple out there...only problem being, I am all the way down-under in NZ! But I have asked the question of a couple of sellers if they will ship to NZ, so it will be interesting to see...definitely a way cheaper...

RE: Audi Concert Stereo Issue (volume controller)
Thanks for that, I thought that might be the case...I am not that keen on an after-market unit (I really like the integrated look of the factory head-unit, all looks 'clean') - so I may just have to bite the bullet and buy another Concert with a warranty on it, which will hopefully cover me for the ...

Audi Concert Stereo Issue (volume controller)
Hi all, I have a 99 S4 Avant, and I have serious issues with my volume controller...if I ever want to adjust the volume (louder or quieter), it will either jumpt straight to complete silence, or (worse still) to full volume, distorting the speakers. I have been told by stereo-repair shops that it is...

RE: Looking at a 99 S4 Avant with 63K on the clock.. help
That's very unusual that the water pump wasn't changed during the cambelt change...I recently had to have my water-pump changed (a 99 Avante with 72k kms) and they recommended doing the belt as they had to basically take it off to get to the pump anyway...it's basically no additional labour to do bo...

Thanks for all the comments guys - very interesting. I checked out the Toy Guy website, and I see that it isn't actually that much cheaper than the B&M option (I went on EBay and have found a dealer that will do the B&M for $USD186, so that's not too bad). I have seen Tanoga talked about in various ...

Short-shifter advice?
Hi all, I have a 99 model S4, and want to put a short-shifter in, to shorten the throw. What experience has anyone had with this, and what type of short-shifters have been tried? I am looking at the B&M one - it looks to be pretty good, saying it will shorten the throw by up to 35% (55% on the later...

Hey Grizz, do you have any pics of your S4 with 19" RS6 reps that you could post? I would be VERY keen to see what that looks like...pretty awesome, I should imagine...

Buying an S4 - what should I look out for?
Hi all, I currently drive an E36 M3 all the way down here in NZ...but am thinking of upgrading to a B5 S4 (a collective 'hooray', I sense)...any advice in terms of what I should be looking out for/being wary of would be greatly appreciated. When do they need cambelts changed (or do they have cam-cha...
