Rob,
My S4 has exactly the same symptons and it has no mods (as far as I'm aware).
It's going into the garage tomorrow so I'll let you know what the problem is on a "standard car".
Cheers, Clive

VAGCOM

Hi All, I have just bought an S4 (B5) and have a problem - losing power at about 4,000rpm when under load. Before I take it into the local Audi stealers, I'd like to run Vagcom up to see what's going on. I have the software (latest version), interface & cables, and laptop. I have a serial port (COM1...

thanks Dippy - yes, I'm hoping it's something as simple as that (someone else has mentioned MAF sensor to me), and yes, I'm taking it easy until it's fixed. In fact, I'm not driving it at all - I'm using the Porsche - sounds flash, I know, but it's an old 924S!

My New S4...!

Thanks to all of you who have contributed to my threads about my search for the "right car". I found it, bought it, but it comes with one little snag (which was accounted for in the price)... It was a long & winding road (quite literally) in finding this little beauty, but the fun isn't over yet! I ...

Thankyou all for your advice and support in helping me find the S4 I was looking for. Special thanks (sounds like a prizegiving speech!) to Andy (ammwhite) who spotted it on the Pistonheads website above, and to Julian (julesm) for his advice and a spin in his S4. It was a long & winding road (quite...

are you saying that the reduced profile of the tyres will compensate for the increased diameter of the wheels (as otherwise the circumference is directly proportional to the diameter)?

I understood the correct offset for the S4 to be ET35?

Hi, I don't have a car to offer you, but spent ages looking for the right car.
Drop me a PM if you need any advice on the search for the "hens' teeth"!

The original RS4 alloys won't fit (they stick out about 1/2" either side of the wheel arches). You need to look for a good set of replicas with PCD 5x112 and offset ET35. My personal opinion is that 18" RS4's or RS6's look good on the S4. If you look at some of the other threads on here, you will se...

The only S4 remap I have experienced is the AMD tuning, which was awesome from the passenger seat - ask Julesm
