Re: SOS help from NZ

You are a lucky guy having one in that colour. I have a serious soft spot for green cars (makes me an outlier I guess) but have never owned one. Got close in 2001 but I digress. As a fellow kiwi can I suggest contacting Anything Electronic in Nelson as they may be able to repair it? It would be very...

Re: dropping headliner

Using a 'steam mop' and roller definitely worth a try.

Re: Isofix - is it worth fitting?

Isofix is good. We still use it with our 4yo with BeSafe booster seat. In this case the isofix locates the seat and allows the side impact rotation function to work. Very good seat if you are up to booster stage.

Re: Heh Kiwi

Used to eat there often when staying in Wellington. Often had to wait for a table due to demand. I guess in the description they mean that it's not exactly flashy?

Re: what to do....

Could be a number of things, but faulty MAF or EGT(s) are a common cause of power loss. Could also be a boost leak or broken DV I suppose.

Re: Low power output, B7 RS4

Just for reference, a year ago on the same rollers kiwi_mtm's stock B5 RS4 did 229kw at the wheels and mine did 224 (same day). 2 days ago kiwi_mtm's stock B7 RS4 did 213kw and my B5 RS4 did 266kw with cat-back exhaust and remap (Viper Tuning). The B7 obviously is down on power, but the question is ...

Skaala, sorry for the thread drift but do you mind telling me how the car rides and handles on those 19x10 wheels of yours? Is it worse than the stock wheels or about the same? They are slightly lighter I think so that should be a plus. Also what tyre size do you run?

Do you mind sharing how you got those wheels in 5x112? I love love those wheels with the deep concave but I thought they were only made in BMW fitment.

Yep, get that wheel off straight away and put the spare on until you can get a new tyre. Damaged sidewall = totally unserviceable (stuffed)

I followed the 5 year rule as well and replaced it early. Just looked at the service booklet and there is no reference for the 5 year timing - just 40k miles. Is it simply a recommendation? I think Audi amended the service interval. In NZ the interval is 5 years/60,000km (37,000mi). When I bought m...
