Need new shocks- DRC failure or wear and tear

I am looking as always for a bit of advice from forum. I have a 52 RS6 Avant with 70k on the clock. I have noticed the ride gettinig crashy for about a year i.e. at 60k and informed my dealer who having tested the car assured me that there was no problem (I know what the problem feels like as the DR...

What should it be worth

I have a 52 plate RS6 Avant in Avus with Black Leather. It has 70,000 miles on the clock full Audi service history, a warranty, DRC done, RNS -E upgrade including TV, Phatbox, AMD chip to 500bhp. I have to move overseas so what do you think I should be selling it for. I was thinking of £21.5 to £22k...

Well two new batteries seems have solved the key fob problem but not immediately- rather sttengely I put in a new battery in one key fob but it took 24hrs to start working. The beeps from the back of the car dont seem to happen now either but not sure if the whole thing is really a dodgy alarm Jonat...

Key fob and alarm problems

Over the last couple of months, there has been a beeping sound coming intermittently from the back of my RS6 when I unlock the car. In addition both my key fobs now no longer work - one faied and then the other. Anyone have any thoughts as to what this is so I can tell the stealer what to fix rather...

RS6 Snow Chains

I understand from the owners manual that snow chains can only be fitted to the RS6 which has 18" wheels ie. can't be fitted to most uk cars. I am taking my car to the french alps next week and understand that it is a legal requirement to have snow chains in the Alps. Anyone got thoughts on complianc...

Should Tyre Sensors be a Warranty Item

I have just been told that my RS6 needs 4 new tyre pressure sensors by my dealer. They have not yet convinced me of the following: 1) Do I really need all four 2) Is it a sensor failure or battery failure I have an audi extended warranty and am intersetd to know whether anyone has had sensors replac...

Jonathan, I have had the RNS-E conversion done and have been advised of the following; 1) Digital tuners are not of great quality in cars at the moment 2) The early RNS-d (B model) tuner will not work with the RNS-E satnav. Consequently I had the upgraded c/d tuner fitted (ebay £220) by cartronics i...

Bit of a Bargain--- I think

My audi warranty has just expired and the kind gentlemen offered to take over £1700 for its renewal. Thanks to this thread I have just purchased 13 months of warranty which would cover all the things that I have ever had to get fixed previously for £720 from Warrantydirect to the value of the car. O...

And another thing to watch

I have exactly the same problem with my RS6 and the dealer recons they reset the system using their computer- what they actually did was fail to spot what I guess is that one of the sensors needs a new battery and in addition reset my DIS so that it no longer displays the radio from my RNS-e which w...

I hope is has not. I think it was actualy a bit clonky before it was done and it has only done about 8000 fairly gentle miles since the upgrade. Still will wait and see what the dealer has to say
