FYI its a known problem from audi....
problems are flashers go off by themselves and engine cuts out.

THANK GOD.... finally found the problem... any ideas where it is... and ive also been told its reset-able??? is that he case... although it would seem mine has a problem as it only goes off when its hot rather than a loose wire/tripped etc?

i have a 1999 S3, Been having weird trouble with my car. the hazards have been coming on with the interior lights and also sometimes the car cuts out and wont start. got the codes 4661 and 4066. 4066 is airflow meter, so wont worry about that.. BUT 4661 says it is a crash switch!!! could it be that ...

ok charged up the battery, at first made no difference, got the codes 4066 ( signal from airflow meter) and 4661 (which appears to be the crash switch) ... then randomly after my dad pumped the throttle ( drive by wire so should make no difference) the car jumps into life and all is well again. erm, i got in the car last nite and it beeped at me 3 times, i thought that was to say the battery is getting low? so it didnt do that the other day... so would that mean it was ok? Plugged in my version of the vag thing, only to find, you need to have the car running to get all of the proper codes....
