With faulty MAF mine showed fault codes for lean mixture (on both banks).

Good looking wheels!
I´m also considering these. Are you happy with yours?
Have you weighed them?
Do you know about the manufacturing method? (cast, pressure cast, forged)

EBC green stuff part number?
Hi all! I`ve booked my car in V.A.G. garage to have new brake pads and discs fitted. The discs will be oem and the pads EBC green stuff. I´ve just received the pads and just by looking at them the front ones look a bit different to ones currently fitted (compared with just the part of the pads I can...

Re: Black Enzo
In the new EVO (n:o 056) they told that there are currently 3 Enzos in Britain; Eric Clapton´s yellow one, Jay Kay´s black one and a red one which was tested by EVO. The owner of the red one is "a generous anonymous friend of EVO" (wish I had such friends ) M...

Thank you for your replies!
So it seems that at least some metal grinding is needed.
Certainly have to think twice about that..

Dippy,
Thanks for your reply...phew that was a relief!
I´ll certainly consider the APR bipipe.
What is the RS4 metal tbb like, can it be fitted to a S4?
What kind of performance gains are expected from fitting either of these?

Oil inside tbb, cause for concern?
Hello all! The other day I experienced a sudden loss of power accompanied by a whistling noise under load... Tonight checked the throttle body boot and found a 15 mm tear underneath the clamp not visible from the outside. The thing that got me worried was a slight film of oil inside the right side o...

One-piece headlamp+indicator units
Hello all! I´ve got a pre 99.5 S4 with separate headlight (xenon) and indicator units. Now one of the headlight units needs replacement because of stonechip (perforation). The cost for an old style headlight unit only is whopping 970 euros. Somehow the newer "all in one" units incorporating the indi...

Here we go again, "little feller"! I may be "just a little boy" of 18, but I'm just the same as all you lot! The difference between you and the other members of this site is that we don`t continuously churn out irritating and egocentric "mine and my dad`s car" -stories.[img]images/graemlins/suicide...

Upgrading S4 non-Bose speakers
I´m planning to upgrade my ´99 S4 Avant´s sound system. I`ve decided to start by replacing c**p oe speakers with component system at front. Which make and size of speakers do you recommend? Any experiences with speaker pockets (Phonocar)? What kind and type of speakers for the rear doors are the mos...

Great looking wheels!
I gather these are lighter than 17" Avus.
Have you noticed any difference in handling or the "feel" of the car?

Re: Porsche Cup Wheels
Genuine Porsche-wheels have 5x130 bolt pattern.
Mille Miglia makes replicas with various bolt patterns, including 5x112. Not sure about the caliper clearance, though.
