Yes TopBear that is right the diagnosis that Audi gave me was all based of what they could ' hear ' from the engine at various different revs . No diagnostic read outs were presented and they were unable to find the offending oil cooler hose . I was told there was certainly variable cam chain wear d...

My car is now with Doug and Lucas at MRC , a provisional ' quick ' look and listen did not reveal anything too disturbing . The cam covers are being removed next week for an inspection , which should be a first indication of any trouble . The audi dealers last action was to give me a £1000 bill for ...

I have finally had a reply from Audi Customer Services , they are not prepared to offer any contribution to the repair of my car . Even though it has full Audi Service History and would seem that their component failed causing this damage . Not really a big surprise but very disappointing . So hopef...

[quote="smurfbus"]If its only 46k miles it should be factory warrantied IMO (If it needs to be changed). Try to contact some Audi boss. Is's not acceptable that engine should be changed after 50k miles. If they deny the warranty talk to some consumer office for help. Audi does not want to be listed ...

thank you people for your kind words and advice. the truth is the car starts and runs fine , well to my ears it does but the experts can hear things which I strain to hear . . . . I could drive it away and have no problems according to Audi but what if ?.... I will contact Doug on monday and see wha...

hello people well I have a sad tale of my much loved RS4 . the oil light came on a week last friday , on checking the underside of the car found it was covered in oil . RAC called and car lifted to Audi main dealer where it has always been serviced . the problem was traced to a corroded oil cooler h...

thank you for the info Steve. I have just picked up my car from West London Audi The total bill for extended warranty and new wiper blades was £950 , this includes the £200 inspection. Expensive but necessary I think. There were a few RS6s there , and they seemed happy looking after the RS4 other th...

well it looks as though no one is going to repy to my question , so I might as well reply myself. (someone on the forum )" Why don't you try Audi West London ? " (me) " ok , if you think they are good " (someone on the forum ) " It's worth a try " so I have called Audi West and booked in for an insp...

Audi Sevice Centres

Hallo All
I am about to take delivery of my new ( used - 2001 ) RS4.
I will need to update the warranty and find the best place in or near West
London to service the car.
Does anybody have any recommendations in this area ?
I would be very grateful .
J.
