Oh dear... the front is, er, what's the word? Oh yeah, I know, it's "disgusting"!

It's just wrong. I don't want one. Going for a drive in my gorgeous B5 (cue for a song?)... I may be some time!

Yep, car is loitering with intent, at my friendly local Audi dealer, to have a new MAF meter... the diagnosis here was spot-on, so thanks all!

DJG (et al)... I'm going through this process (improving the suspension) and, as related elsewhere, have just fitted H&R anti-roll bars and they have tidied things up even with the rest stock. As for shocks and springs, if you go that way you should consider doing both at the same time to ensure the...

Dippy... yeah, I know, will definitely DIY it next time but I'm just a little paranoid about doing anything that might give them the excuse to void the warranty on the Turbos...

Cheers Chaps... I went ahead and discussed the coupla DTCs that VAG-COM is currently reading (and the reduced air flow figures) ; the only comment from the Audi Tech in the service department was "please don't clear down the DTCs before you bring the car in"...

Cool!

Quick thanks to Kim and the guys at QS Tuning...

...who sorted me with H&R anti-roll bars, front and rear, at short notice last week. Even though I'm still stock height (pending resolution of a "driveway undulation issue" ) they've made a significant difference - body roll is greatly reduced, car feels better balanced on turn-in and exit, an...

Non-retentive (mod-friendly) Insurance Companies?

Plenty of people with modded cars on here... who do you use for insurance? Are there any insurers with a half reasonable attitude toward upgrades? Norwich Union ripped me over £60 just for changing my alloys:- "How can you justify that?" "The new wheels will make your car more desirable" "Er, but it...

Thanks for all the input - I will leave the DTCs for the dealer, but it's looking like the MAF. So, going on the 80% of BHP rule I should see air flow around 212g/s at peak. Logging Block 002 tonight gave me this: STAMP, /min,%, ms, g/s 256.67, 3160, 92.5,12.58, 87.47 256.98, 3480, 92.5,11.90, 94.69...

Good Afternoon All!

Just passed my first month in a 2000 S4 and well hooked; what a great car?

Thanks already to those who've answered my posts here - any other S4s around West Kent, or visitors to Buckmore Park???

Cheers,

Dave

Thanks guys, I hadn't suspected the MAF but will log block 002 tonight and see what gives.

It's a 2000, so I suspect I have the Bosch MAF.

Are they VAG-COM friendly?

Anyone any experience of discussing fault codes / logs produced by VAG-COM with main dealers?

Do they appreciate the additional info... or do they tell you to go and shove your warranty???

Help diagnosing boost loss please

VAG-COM cable arrived yesterday (fantastic service from Ross-Tech - thanks guys) so checked for Fault Codes (found none) and went out to check boost, etc. Logged a handful of WOT runs with Block 115 and home to check it all. First couple of runs look just fine, but the third run shows this: 270.10,3...
