Had the same problem. The oil temperature sensor was changed - problem solved.

When Catfood bought his Hoffman car parts were selling the discs at a very reasonable price. I don't see them on their website anymore
There is a brand new set of front discs on ebay.de for 4000 euros.

Schmid Motorsport in Germany makes replacement discs for the ceramic calipers. The discs are made of what they call "High-Tech-Cast-Iron-Carbon" and are 420x40 mm. front and 356x28 mm. rear. Ebay says just under 5000 euros for discs and pads for all four corners. No idea how they perform though :sek...

I believe the ceramic rears from the R8 will fit (might need some adjusting). Are you fitting them to a B5?
