Sorry to keep this going but (predictably) haven't had a vast amount of interest in the car. Now decided I'll consider px of an A6 or BMW 5 series maybe... just incase any knows of anyone interested.

My car is certainly not worth 18k which is why I'd never sell it for that. I know times are tough but the more people that let their cars go for insulting offers the less all our cars will be worth.

Grizz you're absolutely spot on... I'm trying to get a job in Edinburgh so I can keep the RS6. Only problem is it's not really a commuter's car for 100 miles a day for a lowly teacher's salary (plus loan repayments).

So if I can't sell my car... anyone know of a teacher's job going in Edinburgh?!

Well I've kinda half heartedly put it up on Pistonheads (basic listing) and see what happens. If someone offers me an insultingly low offer I may still accept!!

Thanks for advice.

RE: Gonna be selling my RS6 at beginning of August...

That too much you think?

I'm wanting a vaguely swift sale so in this day and age should I not be wanting that price?

Thanks

Turns out the bonnet catch is siezed due to "poor maintenance"... therefore Warranty won't cover it. I suppose it really was my fault (even though I'd only had the car for a few days). It's a learning point for us all I guess!

RE: Bonnet Release Broken!!!!

When I pull the inside release the catch pops through the wrong bit in the grill, but you can only see a tiny bit and it's at an angle. The bonnet pops up slightly as usual. It's clearly broken and the garage says the release mechanism is seized. Sounds odd but vaguely believable.

Bonnet Release Broken!!!!

Hi there My pride and joy is currently at the garage - when I last closed the bonnet the release catch broke. Problem is they tell me they can't open the bonnet to repair it unless they go through the grill... and therefore break the grill! Will be costing me £150 for new grill. Is this true or is i...

On a slightly different thread, as another RS6 Scottish owner should we have a wee gathering somewhere? I'm in Edinburgh.
