Re: Rs4 Tyres
Not sure if you have Falken ZE-912's over in UK? They're better than the FK-452 in wet but suffers from quick wear. Good and cheap but unfortunately doesn't last as long.

Re: Discs/pads for B7 RS4?
As mentioned, pretty much depends on how you drive. If I take it for a hill run, I'd say probably 100 - 200 km left for them. If normal driving you probably have 3000 - 5000 km I guess.RacingTeatray wrote:Thanks. So how much life (mileage-wise) do you reckon they have in them?

Re: what's the actual top speed you've managed to go at?
Clocked 296 km/h on the Garmin GPS. According to my co-driver, who happens to be my missus it looked like the speedo was on 300+. My cars delimited, REVO Stage II, Milltek catback + test pipe.

Re: Poll next car: X6 vs R8
I'd seriously say forget the X6, a mate of mine had similar conundrum 2 years back. He was selling his super souped up GTI off and was pondering between the X6 and the R8. He went with the X6 and since then have sold that off after a year hating every moment of ownership and bought a GT3RS. Sold tha...

Re: Discs/pads for B7 RS4?
Looks pretty much like the profile that I usually have. My usual practice is a new disk at 2nd pad change. The measurements that you have looks like it is on the 2nd set of pads. Once this set of pad wears out, you'd need to change both the disk and the pads. Front and rear wear rate is different de...

Re: sports CATS
A test pipe? What's one of them? hi folks, sorry bout the slow response. Test pipe is essentially a full replacement pipe for the length where your cat is. This method is better if you intend to decat as you can still keep the original cat at home in the event that you need it in the future. The te...

Re: sports CATS
Contact your local Milltek dealer and ask them for the test pipe for this car. Not too expensive but you'd definately need a remap.

Re: came across a Cayman S
Despite looking rather soft, the CaymanS is pretty potent in the MT guise. Typically on a weekend run, I'm only able to squeeze maybe 2-3 cars length on a 1 km stretch with the missus behind in the CaymanS. Its not an easy car to get up to speed and it gets worse if its the 1st gen auto box units. O...

Folks, Give Remsa a try, I'm running them on the RS4 now and quite frankly they feel identical to the stock ones that came with the car. Not too sure about part number as they don't seem to list it on the net. If you can find the local dealer, ask them to check for the current gen RS6 pads, that's h...

Mines been running on REVO Stage 2 for the last 20,000 km, so far no issues on mountings and stuff. The removal of the limiter has drastically helped in terms of throttle response. Top speed as well. I use the car for mix usage, some long runs and some urban runs. Don't think it is a problem unless ...

This thread really makes my day early in the morning. It is just so great to see and read about you guys that truly and really appreciate the RS4.
