Kev,
hmmmm, that is a good suggestion, I'll double check if/when it happens again. So far so good, oh, apart from a split outer CV gaitor discovered whilst having a punctured tyre changed. Ho hum, more expense...

Coolant is all in its proper place, no leaks and the level in expansion tank is on the button, so I must assume the sensor is duff. I'll VAGCOM it later for a better idea but if it is the sensor it looks to be at the top of the engine so I may have a crack at changing it myself, otherwise a flat be...

Hi Steve, Great to hear from another S6 owner, thought they may be thin on the ground, probably even more rare then the RS4’s! Snap, mine also in Silver and a Saloon, but I have the Miltek exhaust system and RS6 wheels with a boot spoiler which set the car of nicely. I can see from the all the pape...

RE: I got one
'Lo Tombs Glad to hear you are enjoying the car. I have had mine since June, a silver 2001 saloon. I understand what you mean by the power delivery, I much prefer the NA response to my turbo charged S2, I gues there is no replacement for displacement..... Ownership experience was brilliant right up ...

Re: S2 Avant Buying advice needed
What Doug said. Most Audi main dealers do not know their way around the older cars, I have a service due imminently and am really having to think hard about maintaining my Audi service history or going somewhere where they know what they are doing, also had a bad experience last time. Parts are expe...

Re: S2 Avant Buying advice needed
John, the mileage is not intergalactic, and the price very reasonable for an Avant, but it all depends on the service history etc. of the car. The engine, gearbox and suspension should all last forever if properly looked after, rust is rarely a problem and the electrics seem to hold up OK, mine is a...

Re: Fontain motors
Another thumbs up here, bought my S2 from them almost a year ago, very professional, sorted any niggles I had with the car before I picked it up and even pointed out a few that I had missed. Don't worry about not all of the cars not being in the showroom, it is a little on the small side and usually...

Re: Trying to buy an S2
Matt,
I don't think they are that rare, I know a few people who have them, and it is a beautiful colour. Worth waiting for the right one, see http://www.s2-audi.co.uk/, http://www.s2central.net/ and http://www.s2forum.com/ for more S2 specific details.

Re: s2 2.8
and the thing that annoys me a bit is seeing golf's and Polo's driving around with S2 or RS2 badges on. Just dont look right! arrrrrggghhhh, this really gets my goat. You need to join my new campaign, the Audi S-badge Reclamation Exercise (A.R.S.E.), campaigning for the removal of all S badges from...

Hi All,
Found this site from a link that JeremyC posted on Pistonheads. Had my (well, actually the girlfriends) S2 Avant for a week, and loving every minute of it. I know little about these cars, and am looking forward to learning, especially about the 20V turbo engine.
