RE: hi mate

Sorry folks - for some reason the email notification of replies didn't work and I've only just seen the last posts.

Anyway it's sold through the forum - cheers everyone for the interest.

You probably have an RNS-D which doesn't have it. The RNS-E is widescreen with one big knob whereas the D is 4:3 aspect ratio with a bigger knob each side.

RE: hi mate

I don't know much about the detail, but isn't the shape of the surround different?

A6/S6/RS6 RNS-E with Bluetooth and multimedia interface

After selling my RS6 I have a complete RNS-E plus Bluetooth plus multimedia interface available: - RNS-E unit - plug and play loom (proper plug and play - I spent ages fixing all the errors in it so it just needs plugging in and connecting to the CAN wires behind the dials) - Bluetooth module with l...

Gone

My RS6 went yesterday (thanks to Grizz for sorting me out with a CAN gateway to get the RNS-D working correctly). Come the end I wasn't actually sad to see it go at all- while it was quick in a straight line a combination of the size/weight and the transmission always took the fun out of anything wi...

RE: What should I do?

Can't be on the RR Grant - no GPS signal inside the building. Is it the tuning company I think it might be?

RE: rs6 warranty. Cheap?? What do you all think to this ?

Isnt the general rule to get an inclusive warranty where everything is included unless specifically excluded? I haven't read all this but I can see that it's an exclusive warranty where nothing is included unless specifically included. It does seem to suggest most of the gearbox is covered though, a...

RE: DRC - is their an easy fix?

Grant's take doesn't surprise me at all; KW's are extremely compliant on my track car - until turned up at least - whereas Billies usually have a reputation for being stiff.

I don't doubt it, but why would anyone pay dealer prices with their own money? Warranty claims are just like insurance claims - inflated.

I didn't bother with warranty. 2 things can go wrong: DRC - this will go wrong sooner or later and with a warranty you can expect to have the car off the road for anything up to 3 out of 12 months while Audi try to effect a bodged fix on the cheap rather than fix it properly which costs money Gearbo...

Do you mean you're going to quarter mile it? Bye bye gearbox if you do so regularly. 520nm (383lb ft or so) is low torque for a standard car never mind a tuned one and normally on dynos these cars give low power and high torque readings. Mine for example shows well over 500ft lb. Please don't think ...

RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: is this anyone

It's due at 40k I think is the consensus. Mine was actually not done at 40k and has just had it done at 60k because not even all Audi dealers seem to agree (or at least they didn't used to though it might be better now). It's too old to be a Plus and it has silver trims and roof rails - only the gri...

Hmm, very cheap. Just coming due for a big service with cambelt also - maybe that's part of the reason why?

RE: Doubs in buying RS6

Having looked quite closely at the RS6 and an e39 BMW while changing bits of the navigation system in both I'd say the Audi is slightly ahead in build quality. I test drove an M3 and to be honest it was deeply disappointing - in fact I drove several and some were better than others by a surprising m...

RE: An expensive day

Is it the slow puncture one that's cracked? I have a slow puncture that's getting worse but the tyre itself is almost worn out so I've been living with it - I hope I haven't got the same issue. As s4woody says Marmite has a couple of brand new Plus wheels for sale and a few people have a 5th wheel a...
