Thanks all. Currently I don't have the third party details, and the police don't seem to have acheived a great deal so far, although they do have a probable registration number and make of car, so not altogether sure yet whether I will get any details in time to make any difference. On the plus side...

I'm claiming of my insurance, with the possibility of my excess being reclaimed from the insurers of the car that did the damage (assuming it can be traced, wasn't nicked, and was insured). Still waiting to find out from the police what is going on there.

Damaged RS4 & Courtesy Car

Hello All, Some little charmer whacked into the front of my car over the weekend, and knocked it into the front of the car parked behind it (apparently two cars chasing each other down our residential street at 2.30am, what is it with these people?). Front wing trashed, and looks like the wheel got ...

Hi, I had something similar a couple of months ago, although it turned out that there were patches of corrosion on the discs rather than any warping. These were replaced under warranty, the only issue being that the dealer could not guarantee up front that the warranty claim would be accepted, so I ...

The happy outcome in my particular case is that the disc & pad replacement was deemed to be covered by the warranty; something of a relief as fighting about these things is invariably exhausting.

Thanks all. The car was bought from new, so is only 1 year old. I don't tend to drive especially vigorously (certainly no more so than a car of this nature should deal with comfortably), so I don't believe that is the cause. It may be that, since I tend to drive only at weekend, the few days spent s...

Distorted/Corroded Brake Discs - covered under warranty?

Morning All, Just had a conversation with my Audi dealer to the effect that the discs on my 1yr old (8k miles) RS4 Cab are distorted/corroded and need replacing, but that there is only a 50/50 chance of this being covered under warranty; so I need to pay up and hope I get the cost refunded. Anyone h...

Tks all. I have the cabriolet, and as far as I know there is no aerial or anything in the front windscreen. I think I can probably get away with a repair rather than a replacement, but as one of the previous posters also mentioned, my insurers insist on using a company which isn't especially convene...

Chipped Windscreen

Hello All, Over the last week or so, I have had quite a few hefty stone chips clattering into the windscreen, mostly whilst driving on the motorway - I suppose the melting snow from the edges of the roads brings the debris onto the main carriage-way. Finally had one yesterday that left a big chip in...

Headlight Knocked out of Place

Hello all, Looks as though someone has knocked into the front of my RS4, albeit fairly gently, and whilst there is no obvious damage to the body work (barring a v minor little scrape) it seems that the contact has popped the head light slightly out of its housing - the front drivers side headlight n...

I've got an RS4 cab. I can't say I agree with the stilts thing - it doesn't look particularly high to me, although I've never directly compared it to either a standard saloon or one with ss+. It still looks fairly hunkered down to me. As for the lack of presence, I prefer to think that the cab goes ...

Thanks for all the responses. I will most probably press ahead with the Milltek system. My main concern was to get something that needn't sound too loud unless I want it to. Quite happy to have something pretty aggressive when I'm out on my own, but need something a little more civilised for the whe...

I'm also with Admiral. can't remember the exact cost, but it was pretty close to £590. By far the cheapest I could find.

Some Milltek questions

Hello all. I've been lurking for a little while as I waited for my RS4 cab to be delivered. Picked it up a couple of weeks back, v impressed so far - a lot better than the S4 I part ex'd. I'm thinking of getting a Milltek exhaust fitted (valved and resonated), and wonder if anyone can help with a fe...
