Crunch when changing into 3rd
Hi All, We have an S3 on a 52 plate and when hard driving, the gearbox crunches when changing in to 3rd. Audi have it at the moment, they are suggesting clutch or gearbox is at fault (obviously!) Is it likely to be the clutch? If so, they are proposing a cost of around £600 to sort out as it will no...

Quick question re cambelt change
Hi All,
Just had the cambelt changed at 40K last week and yesterday I got a low oil level warning.
Before I lay in to the dealer, does the oil have to be drained to do the cambelt or is this just a coincidence??
Cheers
John

Snow chains
I'm sure I'd seen it on here before but can anyone confirm that snow chains cannot be fitted to the RS4 without a change of wheels?
The skiing trip is approaching rapidly!
I did spot a product here www.spikesspider.com that looked might it might do the trick. Any comments on these?
Cheers

It's probably a simplistic view but I suspect that the release of a new RS4 will not have a great deal of impact on B5 prices since the new car will (I guess) be around £60K whereas top whack for a B5 will be £35K ish (a realistic guess for this time next year?). So, rarity and such a price differen...

Service intervals
Sorry if this has been covered before but, as a new owner, I'd be interested in your opinions on the service interval. My March 01 RS4 has only had one service in August 03 at 20492 miles. It now has 27K on the clock. When I first picked it up a couple of weeks ago, a press of the button indicated t...

Weird problem with climate control illumination
Hi All Got a strange problem here. The climate control display is very dim compared to the stereo etc. - virtually unreadable in daylight. The buttons light up with the sidelights (again though, they are a lot dimmer than the stereo) and they dim properly as you'd expect when adjusting the dash illu...
