2009 model here also, only changes up in manual mode when hits redline. Reckon it could well be s/w protecting the engine at low mileage as mentioned

So you must have ADS (as you've said you have the choice of Comfort, Auto & Dynamic) - is there not also the "Individual" button/option on the ADS, as there is on the S4?

Hmmm, the ADS in Dynamic & the Sport Diff do help but I've read elsewhere that non-ADS cars are default set at somewhere between Auto & Dynamic....can't comment too objectively though cos haven't driven one without the ADS & Diff, but most reviewers have commented how neutral the car feels handling-...

Yeah I'd say you have. The problem is you can't bypass it if the option is fitted: one push back on the stalk = high beam assist whether you like it or not. Shame cos it's the only thing (well apart from the squeaky brakes) that I don't like about this otherwise awesome car.

Any of you guys have & use this? Great in principle but boy does it annoy the cr*p out of me - unless it's absolutely (and I mean absolutely) pitch black, the system always takes a few precious seconds to revert to high beam once cars have passed the other way, meaning if you're going full pelt down...

Making me think they've made some adjustments to the fuelling/engine (take it yours is 11 reg)...that or higher grade fuel really does make that much difference (I run 95)
