Audi RS2 fuel pump removal help wanted
Does any member have experience of removing the fuel pump from an Audi RS2. I have read on other forums to remove use a screw driver and hammer in the same way you do to remove the black tank cover turning the inner pump cage 10mm anti clockwise to free but they refer to S2 S4 and other Audi models ...

Fuel pump removal
Thanks Paul, Went to remove it with loads of tools but not needed as it un-screwed very easily, I can see the fuel pump in a plastic cage but how do I remove it as I don’t see any fixing screws etc.
I would say this is the original pump as I've had the car for nearly 12 years REG “M 80 RSâ€

Paul you might be able to help me as I need to remove the fuel pump from the tank as the car has been parked up for over a year so when I’ve tried to start it the fuel pump fuse is blowing. I don’t want to damage the large notched plastic cap so did you use a special tool to remove and was it ea...

RE: Exhaust fumes
Update info: If you have no gaps around windows, all the doors are shut, no missing seals with the aircon working set to recirculation, you should have no noticeable fumes entering the inside of the car. The engine can exhaust quite a lot of fumes when cold or when ticking over stationery for long p...

RE: aircon power sap
You should have no noticeable engine power sap or slow engine pickup if the throttle butterfly and electronics are working/setup correctly when the aircon is working, the engine pickup should be instant as you fly away from stationary. Power to drive pump is 1.5hp with 5hp max under heavy load condi...

Don’t worry about critising Audi we don’t want them resting on their Loral’s. Believe it or not you have more steering thumb and vibration with the standard rubber ones. The alloy top mounts are fixed tightly to the body so cannot bounce about like the OEM ones. When the weight of the car is on a st...

Absolutely not. These aluminium top mounts will not fatigue the strut mounting point, they are fitted tightly to the body so move with the body, if the forces are great enough it good go through the top fixing point as would the standard if you were generating forces similar to a WRC rally stage but...

The rear damper part number 8210 1160S is correct, but on the box you should have a rebound value, the normal setting is 25mm but I still do not recommend using as you will still get a lesser thumb, zero rebound is best. One reason for using these Koni dampers is you can strip down and re-calibrate ...

RE: Problems with Koni shocks - rear
What you have are the wrong Koni’ s for your standard spring, you need to check the spec that was on the box when you bought them. Two sizes are available 25mm or 50mm rebound. This means the damper has a stop inside to allow for longer or shorter travel making the open length 25 or 50mm shorter, ma...

Alistair, No need to ever change springs they just get better, unless you are having special ones made. Why not meet to compare setup and see what you think? I had a Laser Red S2 Avant before the RS2 it’s on the web somewhere reg number A5 AUX, I don’t think there’s any difference in springs just da...

I hope you are all coming to the same conclusion with an average mpg of 23-24 that’s if you are able to keep moving. Long motorway trips @ 92-100mph should see 280 – 320 miles that’s say to Cornwall before the 30 mile warning light comes on with a refill requiring 56 litre approx. Flat motorway driv...
