Re: Insurance premium increases?

Got a surprisingly good price from LV on the nine year old S3 him indoors owns (full NCB, 5,000 miles per year as it's his second car) so it might be worth trying them.

Re: Odd encounter with RS Blue RS2

When I had Blue there was another RS Blau RS2 locally. We finally got to say hello on a very snowy day when we were crawling in opposite directions on the A228 - with quattro doing its stuff. Couldn't resist winding the window down and complement the other driver on his nice car  She was very m...

Re: Went to look at an RS2 today

Hi Matt Hope the pick up went well yesterday. I'm sure you haven't stopped smiling since. She's a super car - and given how she looks and drives, it's hard to believe she's done as many miles as she has. A real testament to Audi build quality. She was the first RS2 I went to look at and I have no re...

Re: The original RS for sale

Andy, I hope you get to keep this beautiful car given your investment to date.

You know how I feel about her
I'd very much like to have her back in our fleet but I don't think the time is right. But if you can't keep her, I'll go away and start praying for a miracle

Congratulations on your new car. What a stunning colour. I really love the new RS4 in that colour.

Pleased to hear you've found a great home for your 'old' RS4 - which has taken temptation out of my way for now

Hi Ollie

Congratulations on your new car. Enjoy.

My OH has had an ebony black one on a 52 plate from new. We put a few miles on the beast this weekend, which has reminded OH what a great car it is.

What oild are you using?
Echo that. In the four years I've had mine, she's never used any oil between changes.

Re: RE: MRC Tuning - Thank you Doug

Sorry if this seems a stupid question, so MRC do routine servicing as well as tuning? If so, do people think it's worth a look for my 80k service which is due within the next 10k miles? I've got the mondial warrantee, but I'm assuming it shouldn't affect it in any way? Would be nice to have it serv...

MRC Tuning - Thank you Doug

Ventured west to Banbury on Friday and got Doug to deal with some routine-ish maintenance (cambelt, front discs and new fuel lines) on the RS2. Great to be able to take the car to someone I trust who knows about RS2s. The car's going really well - will definitely be back in the summer when the next ...

[I actually quite like the leather, but it really could have done with a heated seat option  Mind you, if anyone fancies leather instead of their alcantara ........ No - you can't have mine! I think your car looks stunning anyway! Funnily enough, I wanted leather initially but fe...

Apparently the inlet pipe ( the long black one alongside the head) can be polished ( if metal - replaced if plastic) and this helps to refect some of the heat coming up off the exhaust manifold leading to slightly lower intake air temperatures. Nice car, personally would prefer the blue alcantara s...

Thank you for cheering up my lunchbreak with photos of your gorgeous car. We're going to have to get the local RS2s together - at least three blue ones that I know of.

Mystery solved - the garage that replaced the discs previously had drilled them! Gone with standard size non-drilled Zimmerman discs - and braking is more than adequate LOL. New cables and shoes for the handbrake too - it's never worked so well!
